What is eveyone's feeling on bumper stickers? I was driving the other day and someone had a really polictical bumper sticker and I was thinking that I would never feel comfortable advertising such a drastic message (political, religion, and any other hot topic that people are passionate about) on my car. It seems like making yourself an easy target for flat tires, getting a shopping cart to the door, etc. Not that I have any drastic feelings on any hot topics and maybe I would feel differently if I did but it just seems like a risk.

I think they're too hard to get off if I ever want to sell my car so I wouldn't bother...no one cares what my political beliefs are anyway so why bother?

I have 3 stickers on my truck, No Cry Babies Allowed, an American flag 'n a rainbow flag. Oh 'n I had to cover the cross that was scratched onto my brand new truck with a fairy sticker! :lmao:

OP, I know what you mean. If the message is for political affiliation, no big deal. However, as you implied, if the message is hateful or considered to be highly controversial, then you’ve got to wonder. I live in a county where 75% of the registered voters are Republican so you can imagine some of the bumper stickers we see around here. :sad2:

One that I've seen on several vehicles lately is "If it flies, it dies". I'm not a hunter so yeah, I don't like it. My friends that are hunters said they wouldn't put it on one of their vehicles.

I don't do bumper stickers. I don't want to draw attention to my car (I'd rather be anonymous ;)), I don't like to advertise my beliefs when there are morons in the world who will vandalize your car for them, and I just don't like the way they look. However, I occasionally enjoy them on other people's cars.

I wouldn't put one on my vehicle (nor would I put any other sticker on my back window), however I don't mind reading funny or interesting ones on other people's cars.

The one I saw the other day that made me laugh hysterically was on the back of a septic tank truck. It read:
"You dump em, we pump em!" :lmao:

There is someone in my subdivision that has a very hateful bumper sticker on their family car. It is right next to the sticker that shows their happy family (mom, dad, two kids, dog and cat). It is truly a very nasty sticker. It makes me dislike them. I know it is childish of me but I refuse to even say Hi to them when I am out walking my dogs. If someone really has that much hate in them and feels the need to advertise it, I want nothing to do with them.

As the pp mentioned, I do enjoy reading the funny ones that other people put on their car.

I don't like them for my vehicle, but my son has one that I love - it says, "I'm saving up for a gallon of gas." :lmao:

There are some political/religiosu messages I'd love to put on my car, but I don;t for fear of makign me a target. So I stick with neutral things, like a small college logo of my alma matter and a Disney sticker that reads "My other car is a monorail"

Although, I will say that I did place a bumper sticker for a political candidate in 2008 in my car. I am very picky about sticking things on my car, so I displayed it in the back window. It started as a way to rile my neighbor who proudly had a display, and I do mean DISPLAY in his yard for the opponent. SO I got my little yard sign and with it came a free bumper sticker, and I made sure that my yard sign was visable to his yard.

We've never had a bumper sticker before our kids started middle school. Then they got those honor roll little stickers and we put them on the mini-van.

I've never had a bumper sticker, but I do have a small fish emblem to designate my love of God. It's there to remind me to always give the other drivers the benefit of the doubt. Cuts down on road rage if you get my drift. I saw a cute bumper sticker once that said: Custer wore Arrow shirts!

I don't like the look of them on my car so we don't use them at all. There is a woman who picks up her small children at the elementary school here with a very sexually suggestive sticker on her car. It makes me shake my head.

Niiiiiice! WWJD? Apparently that person thought: vandalize someone's car :rolleyes1.

I like bumper stickers, but I don't like to stick them on my car. I prefer to put them on magnets and then put the magnets on my car. Speaking of which ... I am planning to get two political bumper stickers, one for each car.

I don't care for them when they're political or controversial, and I don't put any on my car other than school, scouts, local museum etc. I also wouldn't do business with a company that had political or controversial bumper stickers on its vehicles (even if the views were the same as mine).

I don't like bumper stickers, they make the car look crappy. However, my favorite expression that I saw on one was "God is great, beer is good and people are crazy" :lmao:

I don't think I would ever put a political sign on my car, but I do have a few magnets. One is a peace sign, and one says "Wag more, Bark less." It's how I try to live my life, and it's how I wish others would too. But by masking it in dog speak, somehow it's less controversial than just saying "Shut up!"
