I enjoy the ride currently, and am keeping an open mind about the change to muppet theming. I had thought always thought they would just eventually update the preshow to a new rock band. I wonder if they will mainly be using the muppet rock band, Dr teeth and the electric mayhem?

I am a muppet fan, and will definitely miss the Muppetvision 3D attraction.

It is definitely going to be centered on the Electric Mayhem as seen in the promo art, though other Muppets are along for the ride too. You know, when you think about it, the MAyhem cover a lot of songs - maybe they could have them cover an Aerosmith for one of the ride tracks.

A huge Aerosmith fan, but also a Muppets fan. People have said that it should be Electric Mayhem for years. I look forward to the change.

I think RnR is an OK rollercoaster. Not my fav. I’ll ride it as the muppets. Definitely needed a change.

I don't ride most roller coasters. BTMRR is about as 'ambitious' as I get.
I don't see how the Muppets will fit in here. I guess they are hoping that Star Wars is enough of an attraction to keep teens coming to the Studios? I don't see "Muppets" and "thrill ride" in the same category.

Aerosmith is my favorite band so I'm sad to see the change and I'm worried that it will not be as good with the Muppets.
I do love the Muppets but I didn't need them to take over one of my favorite attractions.
Glad I get to ride it one more time before the change.

I've ridden RnRC in the past, not in recent visits though. No coasters for me anymore, other than BTMRR. I'm a bit (well, maybe a lot, ha), older to have a big appreciation for Aerosmith and their music. I like a lot of music and theirs is okay for me. Since I'm not riding in the future, not a big opinion here. I think a Muppets theme is more in keeping with the Hollywood Studios (always MGM for me) theme, at least it's original theme. Too bad the Muppets Theater has to bite the dust though.

I do think the whole, overall concept and back story of the current RnRC is pretty creative, original and neat.

When the Muppets were rumored to be taking over I actually loved the idea as with Aerosmith was showing its age. it's another band and one that won't show age as much should they not change it again. Along with keeping Muppets in the park in some way.

I did RnRC once when it was a fairly new attraction, it was a bit much so its a one & done for me. Aerosmith had a late career boost in the 90s so it made sense at the time, now they're retired from touring and their relevance in a theme park attraction is weak. I've never been a Muppets fan, but there seems to be a lot of love for them so I guess it makes sense.

Hot take: Maybe RnRC could have had a Mickey & MInnie's Runaway Railway theme and they could have updated the Great Movie Ride.

The runaway railway theme would be cool too.

I last rode RnRC in October last year, and like others have said it was definitely showing its age and looked quite dated, so I think it's a great idea to make this Muppets themed instead. I think the Muppets fit into the park a lot more than Aerosmith do so I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do to this, especially as it will surely feature some sort of pre-ride show that I'm hoping will be as fun as the Muppetvision one.

I do wonder if they're planning on doing a refurb of the track etc too as the ride felt rather jarring and was showing its age in this way too, andba smoother ride would make it miles better!

I'm not opposed to the idea of the change (love Electric Mayhem), but as with most things Disney does these days, I am skeptical of the execution. I will try to keep an open mind, but in my opinion Disney has been missing the mark on things like this as of late.

Always MGM for me, too, Dan. Guess that makes me officially "old!"

I already like the ride, but am excited to see what they do with the new theming. I think a lot of folks were upset about losing the other Muppet attraction, so Disney is trying to keep them in some way.

Haven't bothered to ride it in years. It was always a ride that bounced my head around too much. There are better coasters at both Disney World and especially Universal. I don't mind the theming change, but with the overhead/shoulder restraints I will not ride it much.

Just heard about this retheming. I don't get it. What's the logic behind Muppets and a thrilling roller coaster? I don't like the Muppets. I don't get the Muppets. I get them confused with Sesame Street. They are both somewhat disturbing, creepy puppets that entertain little kids. How does that relate to a high speed, thrilling, roller coaster.

This is just another mistake on the long list of poor decisions by the theme park planners. They decided to get rid of the dumb show and figured they'd stick the Muppets somewhere else. They keep changing things that are not broken. How often do they need to change the evening show. Wishes was perfect. RnRC never had issues. How about start by fixing the worst attractions, like empty buildings in Epcot and MK (Stitch) and get rid of Tiki Room or turn it into a bar to make those annoying birds tolerable. Get rid of the tree house waste of space, get rid of the gas-guzzling go karts. Tomorrow Land? Hah. The Carousel of (NO) Progress.

All of the parks have lost any sense of identity, theming or originality. They are just sticking IP anywhere and everywhere. They have no vision. No imagination. Not sure who's in charge of the theme parks, but he should be fired.
