Hi, the “bump out” verandas, when you’re on the Disney site, looking at the staterooms, are they the ones that are sort of where the ship gets wider, for example, stateroom 9612 compared to 9614? Is there a way to tell which stateroom has that? We were looking for the family stateroom with veranda on the Wish, thank you!,

They are! But, from what I'm seeing, it looks like both 9612 and 9614 are both bump-out rooms, just with different sizes/shapes of the bump-out. For example, we stayed in room 6582, and we had a bump-out (though, we were right at the start of the bump!)

If you go to the Disney Wish deck plans on the website, you can see the bump out rooms on each deck. The first 2 rooms on each side of each bump outs are Deluxe Oceanview with Veranda. The rest of the rooms in the bump outs are Family oceanview with Veranda. We are sailing next month and have #10546. Room # 9612 is similar to ours. It looks to have the largest balcony on the bump outs. #9614 is a family room with a larger room but balcony may be same size as a room that is not a bump out. So, # 9614 to 9628 would all be Family rooms.

Can you report back after your cruise? We have a similar room booked in November but have not seen any reports on those bump outs.
Enjoy your cruise.

I’m in 9614 in a few weeks, I’ll post some photos after I get back as long as I remember!

don't think this is correct. I'm in 8632 for example and that's first two room on a side if a bumpout and it's Family deluxe, not regular.

We’re going to do the family deluxe with veranda, first time cruisers! 3 adults. We were going to go August of 2023, but I see if we push it out to end of Aug/beginning of Sept the price drops $1,000. It’s only 2 weeks later, but that’s a big price difference. Any suggestions of what staterooms would be greatly appreciated. The TA I contacted suggested 9th deck, mid ship. Thanks!

Your room is a family room but it is not at the beginning of the bump out. Those would be 8636 and 8638. Both are regular veranda rooms with &636 appearing to have a larger veranda. This is similar to the room I booked since it’s only Mom and me and I wanted a chance at a larger veranda at the price of a regular room.
I haven’t seen photos or videos yet of this type of stateroom though.

We were in 10614---niddle of the bump---deluxe family verandah---at least three foot larger verandah

Looking at the deck plans, the bump out looks like it starts at 8616 to 8638, so 8616,8618, 8636 and 8638 are Deluxe verandas and the rest of the bump out rooms are family deluxe. It looks like each bump out on each deck has the four Deluxe Veranda and eight Family Deluxe Verandas

Thanks, good to know. Now that I looked at the deck plans again, I can see that the Deluxe Family rooms in the middle are larger. Just saw a blogger say the same for their room#10112. The room I will be in(10546) looks slightly larger only because of the angle at the beginning of the curve on the bump.

Reporting back with the photos as promised, although I was mistaken about the room - this is actually 9616 and not 9614. Great location though!

We just got off the WIsh last Monday. We had 8626 and 8624, family verandah rooms. We were at the widest point of the aft bump out and had nice large verandahs. Standing at the rail I could tell that the ones to the right - and to the left - were not as wide as our Two. .

Did you take any pictures of 10546? I’d love to see them! 😁

We were in 6628, Family Veranda and a pretty big part of the bump out. Great room!

Hi can you tell me if 8626 has the 3 pull out beds to sleep 5?

Yes, 8626 sleeps 5. There is a murphy bed by the sliding glass door, a top bunk that pulls down from the ceiling, and the couch which turns into the bottom bunk as well as the queen size main bed. 8624 only slept 4 and had a large mirror where the murphy bed otherwise would be and a comfortable chair and footstool opposite the mirror.

How big of a bump was it. Just booked that room and was wondering. Was it just the left corner

Hi! I’m looking to book 8626 for a family cruise next May, as I love the big veranda. What were your feelings being so close to the elevators? Also, do you face the island in this room when you dock or the ocean (just curious)? Did you have a ton of noise on this level? This is our first family cruise EVER! So, we have new to everything!
