bummer - no add on in near future!!

As alot of you know, I have been comtemplating for a while of doing an add on at Vero. Well, DH put the big cabash on that one this morning!! Guess golf out west isn't going to well

Anyway, his decision was one the maintenance is a killer, and then he made a point. We seem to be traveling more and more to florida, then when friends say, hey, you want to do this or that, we just don't have the time because I always have trips planned! So I do see his point! The only way he would even consider it again is if we could get one of those low maintenance contracts, but my understanding is even if we got one, Disney could still pull the plug on the cheaper fees. Oh well!

Wow! Bummer Clarabelle. Interestingly, while we put down a deposit on VB points on Friday, our most excellent guide called me today and informed me that our waitlist for an add-on @BWV seems to have come thru. Now if we can just up the points a little from our initial request (best to do that now, cuz we cannot do a 10-15 pt add-on later), I think we'll be switching our add-on to BWV, concentrating our points there.

I think our issue here is concentrating our points to maximize our reservation power at 11 months. We plan to travel to VB in off times like January, and do not anticipate having trouble getting a room at 7 months; we do plan to go there regularly tho, since we have enjoyed it so much. On the other hand, BWV is for school vacations, and once our 4 yr old advances into the school calendar (kndergarten begins in 2005), I think we'll be looking for long fall weekends and April break. And for that Grand Villa during Food & Wine, we'll need the reservations power at BWV I expect.

I do see what your DH means about need for ability to be more spontaneous tho (at least as far as vacations go). Hey, but a spontaneous vacation is one you take in a year where you've banked all your points (or borrowed them all the previous year); am I right here?
