Just having a whine here. No cheese to go with it either.

Have company. "The boys" are here with us. One has done two tours of Iraq and is finally home safe and sound. The other is visiting with his little guy. Wanted to take them all to Cape May Cafe, as these men (and even the little guy!) can seriously eat clams.

No availability for any night that they are here. :guilty: That's six whole days in a row, of nothing available at Cape May.

Oh well. Shouldn't complain. Good to know Disney isn't going out of business any time soon.

But I really did want to take them there. They can't afford to visit the parks, so I thought it would be fun to have a bit of Disney through the resorts.

Geez. I really am whining aren't I? :sad2:

Get there as soon as they open the doors and tell them you would like to eat there. They give no shows 15 minutes before they cancell their "priority seating".

I have never had a problem doing this. I even do this at Chef Mickeys and usually only have to wait about 15 minutes.

Good Luck! Let us know.

(They have great ribs too!)

Send me a PM with your info, I'll see what I can do for you tomorrow. Worst case I can probably get you Ohana LOL

ditto..... We've done this a few times at Cape may Cafe. But get there a couple of minutes before they open.

Thanks for the advice! I did try a walk up (granted quite some time ago) and they said they weren't doing them anymore?

ConcKahuna, you are a sweetheart! It's ok though. If we can't get in, we can't get in! But I surely do appreciate your offer.

I'm planning on buying clams to cook at home on the pool deck at this point. Not quite the same thing as dining with Disney, but it will have to do.

I'm not a half bad cook. :teeth:

It actually looks like the have a TON of smaller tables the next few days, so it would be easy to get you in on 2 tables (and the restaurant normally sits you right next to each other if not at the same table).

So should I call and ask for two tables for four adults and one "baby?"

Yup. They'll be able to get you in easy. If you tell them there are just 4 of you (whoops, you forgot the baby hint hint) you can get in at pretty much any time.

ConcKahuna you are the BEST!!! I did call over there, just now, and made an ADR for JULY 3!!!! Four adults. :rolleyes1

Seriously, it may seem like a really little thing, but I thank you so much for your help. His being in Iraq really stressed us all out (we tend to love this guy quite a bit) and being able to take him to Cape May is something important for us. I know it seems silly, but hey, it's a big deal on this end!

We'll lift a glass to you ConcKahuna! :grouphug:
