I'm in NC. I've bought Angelfoods recently. At first it was great. We ordered it again last month, and we wont be ordering it again. Last month we ordered a large order with several cases. The grilling meats were the fattiest, nastiest cuts I have ever seen. Almost not edible at all. I felt like Andrew Zimmern. The chicken pieces were nothing more than butcher scraps. My DW trimmed the fat off, and 3/4ths of the chicken was fat. She showed me the 2 bowls. One was full (full of fat) and the other was much much smaller.
The sliced cheese is not edible. It's so nasty even the dogs won't eat it. I can usually pass the cheaper cheese slices off in an omelet, but not this stuff. It's just horrible, and we're not picky eaters either.
The latin flavors produce boxes were decent, but much of it was extremely small. I've bought thousands of avacados in my lifetime, and I have never seen such tiny avacadoes. They weren't much bigger than a golf ball. We actually laughed as we brought them out of the box. Same with the onions, but the yucca roots were huge. (and tasty when cooked with the fatty meat as the recipe that came in with the order detailed!!!) But we had to spend 10 minutes after the meal picking the fat out of the entire dish. It was good mind you, but I've never had to pick fat out of a meal like that before.
I'm not saying don't try them... I'm just saying be careful. We've had mixed experiences, but the last order was the nail in the coffin.
We won't try them again. Maybe your state will have better food.
