Noticed a couple of areas on Worldshowcase at Epcot boarded off along with the area next to Ariel's Grotto at MK. Does any one know what's being developed there?

Thanks

Wils

The boarded up areas in World Showcase are just areas where there were shows and displays for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, which just ended. I believe they are just in the process of taking everything down and replacing the areas with sod. The wall in the MK around Ariels Grotto is the area where 20,000 leauges used to be. They are redoing that area, and for the time being, they are going to make that section a character greeting area, and it will be connected to Mickeys Toontown Fair in the back. Rumors say there may be something else going in there in the future, but there are a lot of rumors about that spot.....stay tuned.

Thanks Mitros

You actually have answered another question here. :D DH and I had a discussion about 2,000 leagues. I remembered it being in WDW MK but couldn't remember where and he denied that there had ever been one if Florida!

Cheers once again

I heard Disney is converting this space to a theater, I think a Snow White show? Something they are transporting from California.

^ Ummm... I don't think so...

20K will become a.... GARDEN! Booooo...

I think the construction around World Showcase is because of the Food and Wine Festival. Also in China they are building the Hong Kong Disneyland Preview Center.
