Build your own light saber?

I've read somewhere about this before. Do they still have this? If so, what are the light sabers like? How do you "build" them? And what store are these found?

We found them in Downtown Disney in the toy store (not sure of the name) whne we were there in January. They have bins of all the pieces and a guide of how to put them together. I think my boys are going to be super excited about this when we are there in Sept.

You can find them at Once Upon a Toy, at DTD. They were $19.99 to build, and I assume they still are, but with the cost of everything going up, who knows?

They used to sell them in the stores (Target, Wal-Mart) for $19.99 that had that had all the part choices you have at Disney, but you could build and rebuild it differently each time.

DS7 had one--they do not hold up at all. That thing broke so fast we actually returned it. Happened again with the next one. We learned it was the light saber and we didn't just have a defective one the first time. We wrote a letter to the manufacture that sent us a letter of apology and some figures for our trouble.

I cringe every time I see them at WDW. Same money, not as much to it, and no quality.

My ds10 just made one this past Saturday. They are $19.99 and you also get to pick a pin.

We just got back, my son made one in the gift shop at the end of Star Tours.

We did this in DTD with DD. I am not a Star Wars fan and didn't know anything about them. A lady came to help us and didn't really explain it well. In the end, she basically made it for us, since I couldn't make the parts go together well.

It is not very durable, but it was a nice souvie from the trip.

Do they actually have light or a glow? I think they might be neat for night time even if they're not durable.

We're going to be on a budget in August but I'd like for them to have one really fun thing to do on our DTD day.
