It makes perfect sense to me. A&E are a hot commodity and I have heard that Disney has been having trouble finding CMs to play the women. They will want to use the character actors they have where they can meet the greatest number of guests possible ... which is at the meet and greet. Plus, the princess meals in Norway are not suffering or lagging with the more established princesses so there is no reason for Disney to change things. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yes, but since these characters are Norwegian, just seems common sense to put a pair in Norway. If they're having problems getting actors, however, that's certainly a problem. There was actually an article a few months ago about Disney introducing characters from Frozen into the parks and on the ships, but the writer pointed out his surprise that these characters are nowhere to be seen in Norway. Oh well, maybe in the future

I just noticed the prices changes. CM 50.00? Is that going forward from the date listed, or just for Halloween time? I have an ADR Dec 2nd, but 50.00 for a group our size-ouch!
That helps with my deciding between different character meals!

We've found that CM has just gotten too expensive for us compared to other character meals that the boys enjoy just as much. They love seeing Mickey at dinner, so we go to Garden Grill at Epcot now. Better food, more relaxing character interaction, nice atmosphere, much more relaxing since the food is served family style so we know we won't miss a character just getting our food, and the price is lower. The boys love it there and they are fine not going to CM. This will be our 4th family vacation to WDW but the first time we won't be going to CM.

Have you been to GG? We tried it for the first time on our July 2012 trip and we really loved it. And usually at Epcot I just want to eat in the countries, but GG really was special. Even if the restaurant isn't rotating due to mechanics, I don't care...that doesn't make or break it for us (it does for some people from what I've read). It is some of the best food you will have at a character meal and we found the service to be excellent as well. We weren't even planning to go there in July 2012 originally, but it was the first day the rest of our family was arriving to join us at WDW, and I asked my sister if she wanted to add one more day to the park ticket and go to Epcot in the evening for that dinner and to walk around the countries after dinner. She was all for it, as was the rest of the family, so I booked it. And all 10 of us enjoyed it so much! Can't wait to go back on the first day of our trip next month! It has also become our new CM. No, we have never ate there b4. Actually, we've always done CM and then about EVERY princess meal in the past, but DD12 has outgrown princesses.
I just grabbed GG a couple of days ago, and wasn't sure if I would keep it as I also have Beaches and Cream that evening and Cape May breakfast at 9:50. (GG is a 4:25) Now I am thinking I'll keep all, and do just dessert at Beaches and Cream (7:00 ADR)
Breaking the habit of CM is hard, but 50.00 a plate makes it a bit easier!

I'm curious about the christmas pricing since there are 2 prices marked "x-mas" for many restaurants. Is the lower one the holiday pricing and the higher one the Christmas Day pricing?

On our 2012 trip, I believe the fish was tilapia. It was good. Nice and light, not fishy at all.

I remember there was fried catfish, and I think a chicken (instead of turkey) and a sliced beef. Nothing was in gravy or sauce There were regular mashed potatoes, corn and another veggie. I think there was a garden salad too.

Unless you're changing from breakfast to dinner, you shouldn't be paying $74 and $43...
