I don't know why we never thought about this besides being so exhausted from the drive. I guess I never knew that adding a day was so cheap. Does it matter when you add the day?
You can play with the numbers on the website to see how much more it would be. Basically, the more days you add, the cheaper it gets per day. I’m assuming they’re trying to make it less appealing to go spend a day at Universal. I believe the deal is that, if you add the extra day once you’re there they only charge you what it would’ve been if you had done that number of days to begin with. I think maybe in some cases you can do it on the phone dependin on how you bought your ticket, but I’m not sure on that.
It may not be worth it if you think you’ll be exhausted. I would imagine you need to think about when you’re getting there and how you think everybody will feel and then plus how far your hotel is from the parks and all that jazz. I wouldn’t think it’s one size fits all. I drove a few years ago with friends and their 3 year old and going to parks on the arrival day would’ve been too much.
