I should have paid more attention to these boards but we weren't going to stay overnight in Buffalo but now we think we will. So please give me your best suggestion for a hotel that we can leave our car at for 10 nights.

I need something nice.....I don't do HoJos or Best Westerns well! Comfy bed and clean is key for me! Thanks for your help!!

Not sure what your price range is but the Holiday Inn Express right across the street from the airport works for us. You can leave the car for two weeks. It's newer therefore quite clean and in good shape. A hot continental breakfast is included (eggs, sausage, ham, cereal, breads, dainish, juice etc...)

Try the Millenium ~ it is right next to the Walden Galleria and has a beautiful pool !

Another vote here for Holiday Inn Express across the airport. Very clean, great pool, and great breakfast on the morning they sent us off to the airport...

We like Homewood Suites. Expensive but nice.

This is where we always stay. Newer and clean and the shuttle service has always been great!!

We are saying at the Millenium this trip (also going down on the 10th).

Free shuttle starts at 5 AM.

I think for the room & parking it is $150.00.

It doesn't look like they have a breakfast...but they gotta have a timmy's close by.

I take it you are flying out on the 11th? We will be on the 7 AM flight.

We are on the 10am JetBlue flight. I think I will try the Holiday Inn Express. Thanks for the help!

we stayed at the Sleep Inn and it was great! we had an early flight at 7am so it was helpful that they had breakfast at 4:30am and shuttles starts that early.

We usually just park at the airport but I'm considering staying at a hotel the night before this time. When you get back from your trip how/where do you get the shuttle back to the hotel to get your car? Also, do you feel like your car is safe?

we didn't have a problem the last time I did this, we stayed at Sleep Inn and the parking they provided was a section at the buffalo airport. although I would not love the idea of my car being broken into it can happen anywhere so I just didn't leave anything in the vehicle. I try not to worry about it. for what it's worth, I just booked my buffalo stay at Sleep Inn again in April.

when you arrive in Buffalo, you call the hotel and they come and get you and drive you to your car

I just booked the Microtel Inn Buffalo for our trip March 24th for $89.99 which gives you up to 14 days parking included.:)

when we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, the front desk staff gave us the number to call when we got back. that was the number for their shuttle. you call them and they come get you. in our case, it so happened that the shuttle was there at the airport picking up a couple too, so we showed the calling card given by front desk and the driver let us in and brought us back to the hotel parking lot right in front of our van... it was very easy...

Another vote for the Millenium and I just read another post that stated they are offering rates at par until sometime in May! :thumbsup2

Stay away from the Quality Inn 4217 Genesee St. right across from the airport next to i think the McDonalds.... we stayed there in Sept.08 for 1 night and the room they gave us had bugs and smelled like mould :sad2: .....they moved us to other end of hotel and that room was " new" I think what they consider new should be defined better.....we just didn't feel like it kept up with the Choice Hotels Brand of places...... we will be going back to either the Best Western Norstar or Comfort Suites on Dick rd. both of them were super clean and excellent staff......

So ended up booking Millenium (see you there MkyMws) since HI Express was $189 for park and fly and Millenium offered me a coutryard room (right next to the indoor pool) for $139 which includes parking.

The Canadian at Park does not work for park and fly so it is more pricey to do it that way. No breakfast includ. but we can grab a bite at the airport or go have a bowl of cereal at the restaurant.

She said your car stays at their hotel which I prefer as last year we got dropped off to a freezing cold car in a park and fly lot and our winter coats were frozen inside and the car was covered in snow that had to be cleared off so we all sat freexing in the car while DH cleaned it off. This way, we can warm up in the hotel while car gets ready to take us home!

There's also a new Hilton Garden Inn right south of the airport. A little pricey but probably nice.

I also just found out that the Marriott offers corporate rates and they offer free parking! Might be changing my reservation sinc ethe reviews about the Millenium are less than favourable!
