Budgeting for churros....

I've made a point of getting a churro when I make a stop at Sam's Club, $.50 each, so I'm not tempted while at WDW/DL to buy one for $3.50. Made the Sam's Club stop yesterday and the nice lady behind the counter said they were out, and they will probably stop selling them. Going to have to find a new supplier....or maybe I should say dealer. Probably their way of looking out for my health.

Hmm....my Sam's CLub doesn't sell them. I have to get my fix at Costco.

Jack in the Box has mini churros. They are not fantastic but good enough if you really have to have one. Our Costco sells them also and you do not need to show a card to buy from the snack bar.

Most local mexican resturants will sell them by the dozen. Our local mexican place has some that are out of this world good. It has to be a rare treat!!!

oh, they are really cheap too!

Baja Fresh has them on their menu as well.

LOL, going to the flea market on the weekends in Cali, there's a TON of churro vendors around. Snow cones are another popular treat, with some popular mexican fruit punch kind of drink in various flavors.

My retail weak spot treat are the fresh cinnamon buns at Ikea. Hot, gooey and yummy for 50 cents each.

If you google it, Bisquick has a recipe for it with the mix and it's pretty good.

Okay....when I first read this, I thought: "Why would you need to budget for churros in Disney, unless you're the one picked in the Laugh Floor Comedy Club?" :lmao:

Oh, my brain is doing funny things to me today.....

I had yet to find a churro I like better then a DLR churro....until I went to a restaurant in Napa, owned and operated by the son of a winery owner.....a winery we like quite a bit actually. :) We met this guy when we was working on his restaurant, it was not opened yet and we were tasting wine at his families wine tasting shop in Napa, he came in to get a screwdriver because he'd broken the one he had and we started talking about his new venture, DBF and I were very interested and a couple months ago we tracked it down...OMG the BEST churros EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER again need to buy a churro at DLR, now while at DLR I will be saying "churros at DL or churros at Bistro Sabor" and the Bistro will win....these were AMAZING!!! Super crispy on the outside, very soft on the inside, covered with yummy cinnamon & sugar and served with caramel, dark chocolate and creme fraiche, just the BEST ever!! As is everything we've had there actually, the chili relleno was excellent and not breaded, salmon tacos YUM! lol Now I'm getting all off topic....LOL

OP when seriously jonesing for a churro and no DL in sight I've folded and eaten the ones at JitB, they were good for a quick fix. :) I've never tried the ones at Costco but I don't even know the last time I was there so....... :)

That's the first thing I thought of as well!

I was selected as the one treating the crowd to churros once LOL - I had to duck and run to avoid the obligation! :lmao:
