Okay, we have one more pay day before we leave. I'm having a tough time deciding how much $$ we need for the week for four of us. We have lunch reservations at Blue Bayou one day, and supper reservations at ESPN Zone another day. So we need to figure for 2 more lunches at the park, plus one at Knott's. The rest of the meals will be off-site, likely Denny's. Although I want to try Mimi's, too. I used their online menu for a rough guestimate at a food budget, with one kid eating off of the kids' menu and the other limited to the cheaper options, plus used the Disney brochure to figure in BB and ESPN Zone. Breakfast will be in-room somehow. And then souveniers - probably just a hat or t-shirt each, probably a Disney toy of some sort for the three year old. I've been told it's best to buy these off-site.

I'm thinking $2000 - $2400 US will be generous enough. Dh figures any more than $2000 US would be nuts, but I've seen how money can go like water. I'd rather figure too high than too low. I think this is my last "unknown" detail to work out. Other than an attack plan for the parks, but I won't get much co-operation on that.

I would figure $10 per person per meal for counter service. $6 per meal for a kids meal. Add another $5 - 6 per person for popcorn, ice cream, churro and a soft drink.

Denny's, Mimi's etc won't be much cheaper for meals then counter service, plus you have to add in the tip.

To save money you might consider sharing your meals, snacks with the 3 YO. My 11 yo is a very light eater and I regret buying her her own meals most times while at Disneyland, easier and cheaper to just share.

How much you spend is really going to depend on you and your spending habits. I always say I am going to "go cheap" but find it hard (and not as much fun) to do so. So plan to spend but keep in mind what you can truely afford and dont go over board.

Have a great trip

Thanks. I had most of this figured out and then lost my book. :o The couch ate it. Now that I've done a bit of my housework, I've found it. Funny how that happens.

Back to the housework - who knows what else has been misplaced over the weekend! :headache:

I budget $120 for me, DH, and DS (3/12 - eats next to nothing, unless it's ice cream ;) ). I budget $200 each person for spending money for souvies and gifts. This budget is usually way too much but I like to have room to splurge, just in case.

I think your budget is more than enough.

Good luck!
