Budget trip

Happy i think both Isilas boys are free onsite in march ~ its all kids under 12 free at that time of year regardless of how many adults are on the package.

I never knew that! I always just assumed it would be one free with each paying adult. Sorry - I've edited my post now.

So... help me with my math. If I decide on Dreams AP, it's what 199eur? So, times 3 it's almost 600eur. Am I getting this right? Plus, let's say 70eur per night, that comes to 420eur. Am I missing something? :faint::rolleyes1

Yes ~ 2 things ~ why Dream APs instead of Fantasy, and why pay DLP full price for them when you could buy them much cheaper through promoparcs or cemultiavantages?

Good points! We got discounted AP's via sponsorship rather than shareholders because we want the free year, and paid ¬174 - we bought Dream because we fancied the free drink before table meals, but the kids will have fantasy passes ;)

Think of the factors of why you want the passes (we go a lot and figured that the discount on blackout days for the kids (there is only one date we need and that's Halloween is a better deal.....though we are toying with just the party as we get 50% discount for everyone with the Dream pass) and we also go without the kids. I guess it was just the freedom of jumping in the car and going!). Fantasy might work well for you if your dates fit :)

But when do I know blackout days for march? :confused3

I'm new to the world of AP's - how did you get an extra year when buying your AP thru sponsorship?? Thanks:thumbsup2

Sorry to jump in, but at what age would a child need an AP? Also how much is the discount on food/souvenirs?

check DLRPMagic for their great information on annual passes, including all the discounts for AP holders.

a child needs a park ticket or AP from the age of 3 at DLP, and they are counted as a child until they reach age 12.

They have already been published on the DLRP Magic website:

http://www.dlrpmagic.com/calendar/annual-passport-blockouts/blockouts-in-2014/

So as long as you are not planning on being there on 29th or 30th March you should be fine! :thumbsup2

planned to be there on 29th as 6night/7 day stay.... but worth thinking....

So, if I have 125 and 35*2, it comes to total of 195 eur. And we could arrive on 23rd, not go into the parks, but book a stay... thinking and counting needs to be done.

when is Easter next year?

Not until 20th April :)

So maybe not so crowded in the end of March? and maybe good weather? ;)

We are looking at an Easter trip next year and my kids break up on 27th March and go back on 13th April.

I'm a teacher in Wales and our easter holidays are 11th - 25th April

I'm so happy Easter's not around March :lmao:

Oh my! Thank goodness you posted. I went back and checked and I was looking at Easter 2015! Indeed, next year our kids are off from 5th - 21st April. Thanks for averting a potential disaster! :thumbsup2

Our school in England is off from 5th April - 21st April so if you're looking at the end of March you should be ok for missing UK holidays. I'm not sure about the rest of Europe though.

I hope the weather is better in March this year than it was last year -- I think we were completely spoilt by the weather in 2012 so was a little let down by the rain and cold of 2013!

March was great in 2011 and 2012 and this year... well... I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope for the best. it can't be that bad two years in a row, right? :goodvibes

so, what are my chances to get cheap off site stay?

If I spent 100 eur a day for food, thet will give me around 70 eur discount with with AP. And with APs and hotel it comes still a bit more than stay in SF or Cheyenne for 550eur. Not sure if it's worth booking APs :confused3
