Budget -- shuttle to port, conversation yesterday

Since there has been considerable chatter on the boards about the Radisson shuttle (which I've never taken as the Avis shuttle, when it was at the Raddison, was faster) I called Budget (we are renting a Budget vehicle) and asked when they start taking people over to the port. "Pat" said at 11 a.m. -- I freaked (just a bit) and said, "oh no, you have to take us eariler, like at 9:45 so we can be there at 10 or so" and she said "no, the port doesn't open until 11 a.m.". I had to correct her again, and she finally said that since they begin shuttling people FROM the port at 7 a.m. that they would take us over whenever we wanted. So, any recent cruisers that have used Budget, will they shuttle you over by 10?? My Plan B is to drop the family off in the rental car first and then I'll shuttle back with Budget after I turn in the car. Any thoughts??? Thanks so much!

I think that people have stated on these boards that the terminal does not open until 10:30, but the parking area opens at 10. We have done the drop the luggage off at the terminal and DH returns the rental car and takes the shuttle back twice now. It was very easy. I was able to check everyone in and his KTTW was waiting at the desk when he arrived.

We were able to take the budget shuttle over before 10. Theyport security would not let the driver take us into the lot yet, so they dropped us off on the sidewalk. We only had to walk about 20 feet.

Just got back. We arrived at the port at 10:30, I dropped off family and drove to the Budget office. I was back at the port lickity split.

No reason to get there any sooner. THe lines were minimal because the Disney bussses don't arrive until later. We got on the boat at 11:50!
