guys - im sorry if im not posting on the "correct" boards - i feel i dont have the time to do that so here goes
right now im looking at money envelopes ive set aside for different things on our cruise - tips, photos, excursions, etc
i need to rebudget myself -- i put the cruise notes away and now im restarting with WDW vaca

we need food for 10days

tiffany town car, grocery stop

park hoppers - think it will be cheaper at this time to get (2) 5day hoppers instead of upgrading DHs 5day and buying 2 new APs - yes we may be returning in Oct but it looks like we would only save $200 and can use it now for Christmas, etc.

i charged mickey's merry christmas parade - hey thats something i need for myself - we are booked to go tues night

I got us Chef Mickey's for Mon night dinner 545pm!! DS really wants, it was a blast last year

what else? how do i redo these envelopes?

Gather up all your money.. If you know how much the Tiffany Town car is, deduct that first.

Take what's left and divide it by 10 days.. That's your daily budget for everything else.. Then try to average what you think it will cost to eat each day and then you'll know what you have leftover for everything else..

Sorry about the cruise but man - I'd LOVE to be in WDW at this time of year! You're going to have an absolute blast!!!! :)

Hi IGTD, I've been reading all of your posts, what a positive attitude you have! Okay, well, you have your fixed costs of the town car (I would allot maybe $100 including tips), plus whatever the costs of the park hoppers are. Also, if you go to wdwig.com, I think you should be able to figure out an approximate cost of your Chef Mickey's dinner. Your hotel is covered, right? So it looks like your main expenses will be food and souvenirs.

Since you're planning on a grocery stop, you could pick up bottled water and other drinks. I would purchase a disposable foam cooler and fill it with ice from the hotel. You can get some breakfast and snack items, maybe fruits and things like pop tarts? I'm not sure how much you would allot for that, I guess it depends on what your family eats. I'm guesstimating about $30.

Okay, the rest of your meals might be difficult to figure out because it really depends on your eating styles. Personally, when I go to WDW, I usually eat one sit-down meal (either L or D) per day. For a good bargain, I like the buffet at Norway's Akershus, it's only about $12 per person (not sure of child's price). Mexico used to have early bird dinner specials, you might want to check on those.

I think you would need at least $75 per day for food for all of you. I need to run, I'll try to post again later. I'm sure others have more ideas too!

thanks - youre right on target with the food cost - that's exactly what i came up with -

One more thing I wanted to mention as far as food deals go...at AK, they had (this was in October, not sure how long they're going to do it for) a deal where for something around $10.99 (I'm sorry, I can't remember the exact figure), you can get 3 coupons that are good for: 1) a lunch entree AND a drink, 2) a bottle of water, and 3) a popcorn or an ice cream.

We had lunch at Tusker House, and it was offered to us. They also had a sign up at the cashier. It was a good deal because the entree alone was around $7, and drinks can be pricey. As we were leaving the park, we picked up both the popcorn and the bottled water to have on the ride back to the hotel. (Although I don't think we were supposed to be eating on the bus!!)
