My dh and I are not the fancy food type. We like pizza, chicken, fries, and burgers. And all the stuff in between. Can anyone suggest places for lunch and dinner. We will be staying at WL.

Thanks a bunch.

We enjoyed the snack bar at WL when we stayed there. I have found on recent trips that my thing to try was the big salads. They are different everywhere you go, parks or hotels....and some have chicken or meat in them. DH and I got to where we ordered the salad and a burger or sandwich.........then shared. It was great and economical. Of course we always hit Columbia House in MK too !

I think Trail's End Buffet at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground would be good for you. Its next door to WL, and has most the foods you are looking for.

Your best bet is to just search the menus and take a look at the prices to get an idea for what you can afford. www.allearsnet.com has them all under dining.

Splitting meals at table service places is another great budget idea, esp at places that serve huge amounts of food (50's PT for one). We can dine at 50's PT and eat better, and more food, in a nice table service atmosphere for about the cost of counter service for us both.

I agree onTrail's End.
Also make sure to check out Earl of Sandwich in the Marketplace at DTD. Good prices and good food. The line can be long. But their food is worth it. :)

Resort food courts can help save too. (Like at Pop or the All Stars)

Earl of Sandwich is pretty good. You can get a good meal at the Plaza in the MK. Great sandwiches, soup, ice cream desserts, salads.

I like food that you can just put on the place. When it has to be arranged, with each layer by hand, and all piled up in the center of the plate, I won't be eating there.

Liberty Tree Tavern has some great lunches, too. Pot roast, roast turkey dinner, a few sandwiches, fried cheese.

The best meal deal is the 1/2 chicken meal. You can get it at either Cosmic Rays in MK or Tusker House in AK. It is 1/2 chicken, veggies and mashed potatoes. Dh and I split it AND give the drumstick to one of the kids. It is < $8. We add on another kids meal and the 4 of us are all full. (kids are 3 & 5).

That's good to know. I was wondering if the meals really are big enough to share. Thanks!
