Budget (but clean) hotel along FL Turnpike?

Has anyone stayed at a hotel along the turnpike that they would recommend? We will be arriving late and wanted to find somewhere to stay the night before our on-site reservation starts.

Which direction are you coming from ......

South to Orlando OR North to Orlando ?

Whichever way you would have to turn off Turnpike.

We'll be coming south down I-75.

Stop in Ocala, FL. It's just before you get on turnpike, which really won't have any places to stay.

I've stayed there, gotten up, gone by Disney hotel to check in and then on to the parks.

But most the time I just drive all the way, staying in offsite hotel to save.

I was thinking about Ocala or Wildwood. Which hotel did you stay at and would you recommend it?

Stay in Ocala.

I've stayed in Hampton and Hilton. But any of those right at 75 on SW College Road should be fine.
