On a sad note I am asking for prayers for Carol's Mom !! I am not exactly sure what is wrong with her but it is something to do with her blood and it was only discovered a few days ago . Today they were trying 1 more thing and if it didn't work they were calling in Hospice Carol is with her Mom so I haven't talked to her , my boss let me know !! Even though Carol doesn't post on here I feel like she is part of the Dis family thru me !!Please send out those prayers

Oh, Rosie, I am sorry to hear abour Carol's mother. Thank you for letting is know...Carol is indeed a member of our DIS family. Will be holding her mother and family near in heart and prayer. Keep us posted, when possible.

Just off the phone with Carol , she says keeps those prayers coming she really appreciates it !!Her Mom has has a Blood disease for 15 years which involves low platelets levels and does get transfusions for that, currently they have ben unable to bring the level up and are saying it has developped into a Lymphoma, they have started her on an oral chemo pill and she may come home in afew days , but at this point Carol says if this med doesn't work it will pretty much be Hospice . THe disease she has frequently is fatal within 2 years and she has had it 15 . So prognosis doen't look good which is why Carol appreciates the prayers !! Thanks all of you !!

AgainThanks !!Carol said prayers are her best hope !!! I am soooo sad for her !! She is comimg into work tomorrow and hoping that they send her Mom home during the week as at this point nothing can be done that can't be done at home . The prayers are that this Oral Chemo raises her platelet levels , if not the news is grim !!

Been having trouble with the Dis !! I spoke to Carol yesterday , they were discharging her Mom as there was nothing they could do that couldn't be done at home !!The Chemo meds could take 2 mionths to work, so it could be a while before they know if they raise the platelet level! She said thanks for all the prayers , international was impressive and she thanked Marv for his kind thoughts . I will prolly be seeing her tomorrow at the management meeting unless she is Off with her mom.
On the Cape Cod trip Dan asked us to take one gal from the house I work at part time and Carol agreed , so we know 1 already !!No word on May for Universal so it will prolly be September !!

Thanks Christine !!I just got home from work and saw all my birthday wishes on FB and replied !!! It's been a busy day !!Judy bought me a Bed in a Bag set for my birthday , I will put it on later !!The kids got me jeans and a top!!Cake is waiting for a little while !
Funny I don't feel any older !!
This has been a funny week !! On Sunday I got a call that the Oven was not working at the group home and that it had a chinese code coming up !!Soo the powers that be were called and yesterday a Repair man came in !! Now I am giving you fair warning NO COFFEE IN MOUTH!!!








He said "It's set on the Sabboth" I looked at him and thiought FUNNY Guy so your saying we shouldn't cook on Sundays Obviously he was not being a comedian ...... He said the oven was set on the SABBATH, for jewish sects that do not cook on the sabbath!!Okay but why do we have a Jewish Oven I ask Stiil the straight face he proceeds to tell us how certain jewish sects have their ovens set so they cannot be turned on on the sabbothStill no comment on why we have one

When I called my boss she about fell outta the chair laughing , this guy was serious ... it is a jewish oven Have ya ever heard of this before !! Everyone I tell thinks I am making it up I have a feeling this is gonna be the joke of the year for the whole agency !!!
