Brown Derby on Disney Dining Plan

I'm having trouble pulling up the Dining Plan brochure on the Disney site tonight. Does anyone know . . . does Brown Derby count as one table service or two on the dining plan?

Brown Derby is a Signature Restaurant, therefore 2 credits on the DDP. While it is one of my favorite restaurants on property, I would not use DDP credits to eat there. The prices aren't much higher than a 1TS restaurant, not a good value on the DDP. I would pay OOP to eat there though :thumbsup2

1) Absolutely.
2) For DDP, there are bad TS choices (when looking at monetary value)
. . . any breakfast
. . . almost every lunch
. . . some dinners
. . . any character meal
. . . any dinner theater

Now that I've seen the schedule for our July visit, I see that DHS is only offering Fantasmic on certain nights (yikes). I'm guessing this is going to make the Fantasmic package even more important than usual to get seats to Fantasmic.

With that said, it looks like our dinner on DHS day will be at Mama Melroses or Hollywood & Vine. We've been to both on previous trips and I was just trying to think of something new.

Does anyone have a preference between the two based in experiences in the past few years?

Most definitely Mama Melrose! I guess I'm a slow learner, but we've tried Hollywood and Vine four times and all four times it was REALLY bad.:scared1: I hope we've finally learned our lesson. We have also eaten at Mama Melrose several times and have never had a bad meal. Like you, sometimes we just want to try something different. We have also eaten at Brown Derby a few times and while good, it's not worth 2 TS credits. If we eat there now, we pay out of pocket.

I'm sure you probably already know, but just in case, if you book the Fantasmic pkg at either Mama Melrose or Brown Derby, you do get an appetizer, even on the basic DDP, because appetizers are a part of the Fantasmic pkg.
