I know this is old but I'm honestly JUST now hearing about this stuff...

Why would bread be in a can anyway? That's weird...

I'm sorry but  .....lol

Anybody eat this? Is it good?

the maker of it made me laugh... take out the & part LOL! Umm yuck!

Oh, my! I haven't seen that in years! It was really quite tasty. It was a very moist, dense bread.

Is it still in stores? I havent seen this in yrs. I remember my mom getting it and serving the brown bread with beans. It was very moist and tasty.

LOL at this description I found of it:

"Wholesome or not, the stuff is strange. The smooth brown cylinder that emerges from the can could easily be rolled down hills at one's enemies. It's hard to keep on a plate unless you let it sit vertically, at which point the bread looks like a sinister wizard's tower, glowering with malicious intent."

Oddly enough, I noticed that at the grocery store about 6 months ago. I thought maybe, just maybe, it would taste like the brown bread at Steak & Ale. I finally remembered to bake it about a month ago. What a disappointment.

It's kind of tough to eat bread that had ridges from the can still on it.

Yummy! I haven't had that in ages. Now I want some!!
BTW, you can bake bread in a can, lots of people do it.

My Grandma always had brown bread (from a can) available at her house.. When I was pregnant for my first child, my craving was for brown bread - every single day.. Just had to have it.. It's actually quite tasty..:)

Anyone find it ironic the brand is BM?

I don't think you're supposed to bake it

The one that you buy in the can is ready to eat. But, you can bake bread in a can.

I remember seeing some in the store a few years ago and just had to buy it. But then I am weird and will try any kind of food just once.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything I felt the need to buy again. If I was served it at a meal by someone I would eat it. It isn't nasty or anything like that.

I used to love it, my family would serve as appetizers at Christmas (w/extended family) cut into cubes w/cream cheese spread on it. Pretty good actually!

I LOVE that stuff! I buy the raisin variety, slice it up and put a little margerine on it. It's a great treat!!! My whole family likes it. mmmmmmmmmm

MMMMMMMM! Boston Brown Bread, YUM! The one with the raisins is the best!

My mom used to serve it with hot dogs and baked beans.
