Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Hi MeMom

Its been ages since I had the time to get through your report but I'm all caught up after Toby had a super long nap this morning! He is just chilling and waking up now, waiting for his little friend Harry to arrive, who was born the day after him!

Excellent piccies as usual - I'm so sad for you about your camera! You'll have to keep us posted on what you get.

Brooklynn's birthday party looks amazing and what a wonderful and tasty looking cake Jill made!

I love the Crystal Palace pics too - we will be going there for our big family trip in 2011 which we are now very close to booking!!!

As you know its been a whirlwind week for me - I was 30 last Wednesday and was surprised with a fantastic 2-night break to Disneyland in Paris. We got back very late on Friday night after an amazing trip! I went with hubby and Toby, my Mum and Dad and my Sister, her hubby and their 2 kids also went (they are 3.5 and 1.5 years).

Our trip started early on Wednesday morning - we caught the Eurostar from Ashford in Kent and arrived in Disneyland 2hrs later. The hotel we stayed at was Hotel New York, I guess similar to the Contemporary?

We spent our first 2 days in the Disneyland Park with our last day in the Disney Studios Park. We only managed a few rides - it was exhausting with a little one in the heat and feeding and changing him regularly etc. Toby is also out of sorts at the moment with a little cough and we think quite a big growth spurt!

Toby's first ride was "Its a Small World" - he LOVED it!!! He also rode the Tea Cups twice but that was all I'm afraid, he was too little for many of them and some of them were also closed at the times we were ready to do the rides!

He didn't meet Mickey Mouse but we bought him a cuddly toy Mickey Mouse which he loves loads!

He definitely loved taking it all in though - a very nosy baby!!!

We had a fantastic trip and its made us all super excited about our trip in 2011 to Orlando. We are all so tired too - Toby is waking in the night again after previously sleeping through. We are not sure why, but he is definitely hungry and just won't take any more milk during the day. Our health visitor said she will recommend he starts weaning onto solid foods soon if it continues (it might pass and if it does, it was just a growth spurt).

Here is the link to the piccies on my facebook album: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=135312&id=509990814&l=5b413fef76

Sorry for the super long post!!!

Aw, the picture of the girls with Eeyore is so precious! Wonder what was up with Pooh? I'm glad you were "compensated" for your patience. See, nice guys don't always finish last!:goodvibes

I'm not sure, but we were getting the others for the third time at our table, and still no Pooh!

What a fabulous party for Brooklynn and her friends! Between the decorations and the cake, you two are one talented duo! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear the doctor thinks he can have you as good as new for your upcoming trip! :cool1:

Your pics were great- your daughters are adorable and so sweet with each other! Love how Brooklynn is teaching her baby sister nice and young what to do in Disney. :flower3:

Jill may be talented. For my part, I just search and borrow ideas from things I see. Every so often I come up with something original, but for the most part, I'm a thief! :)

It makes looking forward to the trip so much more exciting knowing that I'll just be walking around like everyone else.

I may have taken 5100 pictures, and it's worth it to capture little moments like that!

WOW! You do have a big class, but come to think of it, I think that my youngest DD has about that many in her 4th grade class. It's no wonder teachers are over worked!
Love that picture of Bella pitching her little baby fit. It's amazing how early they start with their little tempers and personalities.
I hope that the Dr is able to give you some relief on Friday.

A teacher can't properly attend to the needs of more than 20 kids. Think about having 20 kids in your house for the evening. How many could you really talk to or work with on something? I think 18 is a good number without stretching yourself too thin.

Hi memom
How was the 1st day of the school year? (you said you were starting all over because you were sick last week) Amy and Emily's 1st day back was today.

You were really cleaning up with the fastpasses. What did you do with the second one? At Hollywood studios half our tickets wouldn't work so I asked the Cm if she could give us anything for the half an hour we killed getting them reprinted during A.M EMH. Nothing. Finally she gave us FPs that couldn't be used on shows or TSM. :confused3

Love the picture of Brooklyn holding Bella's hand during the parade.:lovestruc We took Amy to Disney when she was 2 months and Emily did the same thing. On all the rides she was forcing her to wave at all the things. Poor baby:rotfl: and when Emily 1st saw Amy at the hospital she was so excited she kept shouting 'Baby! Baby! Baby!' and couldn't believe it was hers then half an hour later she sticks the bottle up her nose.:rotfl2: Just thought I should share the funny story.

My do-over first day of school was better! I'm still coughing, but even that is subsiding, and I don't have a fever. I felt rotten the first days of school last week. This first day didn't seem nearly so long.

I hope your kids have a great school year!

We were pretty much ready to go after Buzz, because we wanted to run by Epcot to see an artist and his work, so we left. Jill has the other one for her scrapbook.

There are many sweet moments to treasure between brothers and sisters. I am always saddened when parents don't take the time to really treasure their children, as is the case with some of our families at our school. They are probably loved by the parents, I don't deny, but some of our parents just don't spend time with them and really look at the little everyday things they do that are so wondrous to me.

What a fun Nemo party-our "Sleeping Booty" one is on Sun. Last bday party in this house-we are moving in early Oct-and first one without Gramma :sad2:
So glad everyone had such a fun time at CP-C is still afraid of Tigger-maybe by May she will not be. Any word on the MRI??

Aaah, Sleeping Booty! :) See, that's something to treasure right there!

Good luck with your move. Maybe you guys can choose together a nice picture that you think Gramma would have liked and put it up in the new house to remember and honor her by. Maybe a beach scene or some flowers she loved - anything that makes you think of her and smile whenever you see it.

The MRI is scheduled for Thursday after school, and then the consult with the doctor will be Friday.

It looks like Brooklynn's party was perfect. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

We love the Crystal Palace also. We always eat breakfast there. The plate without green vegetables looks very famaliar to me. I think I would fit right in with your eaters.

It was much fun!

We'll have to go for breakfast there next summer and do 'Ohana for dinner, since we've only done the opposites at those two places so far.

We eat broccoli around here three-four times a week, and when we don't have broccoli, we have green beans. Trent will eat peas, but Drew and I aren't much on them. Spinach I can only take in dip!

I just loved starting my morning reading your update (I'm so far behind its not even funny LOL)!!

Love the character interaction with the girls, especially the one with Brooklynn eating her ice cream (that girl knows a good thing when she sees one LOL)

I also loved the parade pictures!!! So much fun!!

Yes being nice does pay off...way to score special passes!!!!!

Hope you have a great day and a great week!!!

Oh I miss Crystal Palace....I can't wait to get back there soon! The pictures of the little ones with the characters are so cute! Even with Bella being fussy! It also looks like Brooklyn had a fabulous birthday! I should get you guys to plan my party! :)

Okay, I missed the pics from the party! It looks like it was so much fun. I loved the jellyfish! And we even got a MeMom sighting!

Jill: Just saw flight prices for our times and they are looking good right now, in case you see this before I talk to you today. You might wanna run over and check them out.

I just got a DING from Southwest for October flights for $68. That is the best deal I have seen so far. Not sure if your airport is in the offer but you might want to check if your rate is higher. We would fly out of Raleigh/Durham, so that rate should be similar to ones in your area.

I guess I'll be buying a new camera in the next seven weeks.

That's great that you got to have a Disney birthday. That is a small sample of what you'll get when you go to WDW. Actually booking the trip will be very exciting!

Maybe some rice cereal will help Toby sleep through the night so that all of you will be happier and more rested.

Three of my favorite things were in that picture - Brooklynn, ice cream, and Eeyore.

Yes, in that order. I would have to hurt Eeyore's feelings, too, because I do love my ice cream!

Oh I miss Crystal Palace....I can't wait to get back there soon! The pictures of the little ones with the characters are so cute! Even with Bella being fussy! It also looks like Brooklyn had a fabulous birthday! I should get you guys to plan my party! :)

Brooklynn did have a nice birthday. She was happy to have so many of her friends come to play. She would have been fine without one present.

Okay, I missed the pics from the party! It looks like it was so much fun. I loved the jellyfish! And we even got a MeMom sighting!

It was fun. Hiding behind Bella didn't exactly work for me. Wonder why?

We'll be happy for a $68 Ding! Right now they're just a bit over a hundred.

After a minute of shopping,

we made our way to the front of Magic Kingdom.

The time was:

We boarded a monorail to Epcot.

I took fountain pictures for my collage.

Which one do you like best for the picture frame?

The goal of this short stop at Epcot was to see Larry Dotson, who was here

selling his work.

It had been raining when we got off the monorail, and on the way back to Pop, we saw this.

A bit of shopping in Everything Pop.

Palm tree reflection in a puddle.

We walked to the end of our breezeway to see some of Illuminations.

That closed out arrival day at Disney World. Nine days left, and only seven weeks to get it done!

As far as the fountain pictures I really like the 2nd one you took!!! Definitely think it should make the cut!! Although I have to agree with CP the palm tree in the puddle is a great picture, very creative!!!

I just adore your shopping photos, I keep finding things I want to buy!!! Those shirts were amazing and I know I'm going to head to a store when I first get there to acquire a shirt for myself!! Thanks posting all the great pics!!

I like the 2nd fountain pic. But...that palm tree reflection in the puddle pic is good too!

I like that front thing Bella is strapped in on Jill. Definately better than carrying her!

The palm tree reflection photo is really cool! :thumbsup2

I didn't know you could see Illuminations from Pop!

I like this one!! But it's a hard choice

This picture is AWESOME!!!! :thumbsup2

I think it could definitely be included in the 'water' collage

What room/section were you guys in??

Trying to decide if we are going to 'suggest' anywhere or just see what comes

at the rate you're going, you'll be fine. you could pull a "dawn" or "erica" and take almost a year to finish a TR!

Yea....and we're COOL!! :cool2:

I like the second fountain picture, but they are both awesome. I also love the palm tree in a puddle picture. :thumbsup2

So cool you got to see Larry Dotson -- he was there when we went in 2008 in time for the F&GF. I ended up buying two of his prints and my mom got one or two as well.

We have the small bowls that are below the candles! My mom ended up buying a few on our last trip. I like the placemats, too.

That's so funny that they have the monorail t-shirt! Love those pins, too!

Denise

I saw several new pins this time. One could spend a whole lot of money on pins. There are so many neat ones!

The monorail shirt is fun. There's also a new Bay Lake Tower shirt that has a picture of a monorail on it, for monorail fans.

i like the second one but they're both awesome!

cool picture!

I like the second one, too, yet I feel the whole fountain best represents the feeling of standing there. I think I'm going to try for some better shots of the whole thing in October.

If we didn't have another trip coming, I imagine we could easily take a year for ten days of Disney fun. I like to be finished with one before the next one starts, though. I wouldn't be able to keep up with two going at once!

Great pictures to see after a rough day! Takes me to my happy place!

Glad we could be of service. I love waking up to pictures and starting my day off right. I also love going to bed having just gone on a safari or eaten at Chef Mickey's or watched Wishes through someone's report, so I know just how you feel. :)

Does the palm tree reflection count as a water picture? It is super neat and deserves to go into the collage as well!

That will probably go in a miscellaneous something. I'm not sure. My idea was that this one would be fountains, waterfalls, things like the POR waterwheel, etc. We'll see when I gather up everything. I'm glad you like it. I can so easily remember standing there just looking around being happy we were there!

Thanks for the input on the fountain pictures.

Stick around. You could be a shop-o-maniac on this report, because I took lots of store pictures!

I like the 2nd fountain pic. But...that palm tree reflection in the puddle pic is good too!

Another vote for #2.

That carrier was great. She rode around everywhere and just fell asleep whenever she was ready. Luckily, she doesn't weigh much, so it was easy on Jill. We gladly took turns holding her whenever Jill needed a break, and she was in the stroller some, too. It all worked out very well.

The palm tree reflection photo is really cool! :thumbsup2

I didn't know you could see Illuminations from Pop!

You can see some of Illuminations from a few sections over on the Bowling Pin side of Pop. That was just at the end of our walkway.

What a fun filled first day MeMom and Jill!!!
Were you able to get you bargain priced airfare?

Jill said she was booking last night, but I haven't talked to her. Prices were as low as I've seen them so far.

I like this one!! But it's a hard choice

Yea....and we're COOL!! :cool2:

We were on the back side of the Play Doh building. Building 4, 3rd floor.

I like the second fountain picture, but they are both awesome. I also love the palm tree in a puddle picture. :thumbsup2

It was cool to see him. He was just sitting there talking to a small group of what seemed to be knowledgeable artsy-type people, so we just looked around at his work. If those doors were open at the Art of Disney picture, you would see him sitting right there at the front. I didn't want to take his picture up close without permission or anything, but I should have waited until the doors opened and got it from afar.

I know your cereal, ice cream, etc. is so much tastier in those bowls! :thumbsup2

Haven't read for a few days and I've just been catching up. So many lovely pics - my favourite has to be the one of Brooklyn holding little Bella's hand :goodvibes Just gorgeous and exactly what I'd wish for my 2 little girls to be doing when they see their first Disney parade.

My eldest is saying more and more character names (in her own sweet way) and getting me even more excited about our short trip to Disneyland Paris in a few weeks time :yay: and then there'll be a trip to WDW later next year

A teacher can't properly attend to the needs of more than 20 kids. Think about having 20 kids in your house for the evening. How many could you really talk to or work with on something? I think 18 is a good number without stretching yourself too thin.

Is 20 a fairly standard number in most US classrooms? Our UK classes are usually around 30. And the one year I had a class of 18 :cloud9: I really noticed the difference - everything was more personal and it took a lot less time to prep books, etc

Just one more thing - I think it's great that your 'niceness' has paid off more than once on this trip already - those CMs probably see so much bad behvaiour and I'm sure they love being able to reward their more polite and patient visitors.
