Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

A new bag that they had at the Disney Store. They were $2.50. I got one for me and one for Jill, of course.

Makes you want to go to Disney World in October, doesn't it?

you ain't kiddin'.

VERY cute classroom stuff. i would've loved to have you for second grade. the big thing i remember about second grade is that's the year my sister was born and i was SO proud to be a big siser. i do remember my teacher was ms. lacock and she was VERY sweet. :goodvibes

Well, at not quite four months, Bella was no trouble on our summer trip. She just rode along in Jill's carrier thing and slept a good bit of the time. Friends of ours who are also Disney crazy took their second daughter at five weeks old.

that's what i keep telling ray. i want to go as many times as possible before the kid turns 3 because, A, they're free and, B, the younger they are the less of an opinion they have! he thinks i'm crazy.

Your classroom looks great! Your students are going to have to much fun (and hopefully learn a lot, too!) this year.

I love that Halloween bag! So cute!

Oh, I adore all of your Disney touches!!! How do you keep all your guys up on the boards? Stapler???

Did you buy that Halloween bag recently at the Disney store? The one at the mall or the one at Disney? You know how I have a thing for those Disney bags.

Your classroom looks terrific. I know your students are going to love all of the special touches. :thumbsup2 My DD's teacher has a Figment that they pass around when they need to 'spark' their imaginations. Your students are going to be very blessed to have such a warm and caring person as their teacher.

How is your leg? I do hope you follow up with your Dr. soon. I guess you will regret telling us about it because we are gonna nag you to death...:rolleyes1

Jill - What ever happened with your DH's friend? If I remember correctly, he was found unconscious. You may have addressed it but I don't think I read it. It made me think of my DH...he had a brain aneurysm. I thought something similar may have happened to him. I was just wondering how he was doing.

Punkin...do you remember me? I am your neighbor, in Loganville. :goodvibesOne of these days we need to meet up. I was guessing what the pennies and wishes in the fountain/geyser were for. I didn't want to assume because well, you know what they say about assuming.... Now I think I have it all figured out:idea:...so here is some magical pixie dust just for you and your DH.pixiedust:

Hope everyone is having a good night.

Looking forward to this TR starting up soon. :surfweb:

Love the Disney touches to your classroom, MeMom! I plan on teaching high school so you're going to have to help me think of little things I can add to my classroom that are good for older kids! Having it around will help me through the school year until its time for our next trip.

I can't wait for the TR to start! That picture of Brooklynn and the stepsisters is adorrrableeeee!!! I saw Jill posted some pictures on facebook but I didn't want to cheat and look early, before they were up on here

I love how you use the pins on your corkboard--- that is too cute. I might have to use that idea someday!
There was a K teacher at Hannah's school that had tons of Disney stuff--- I wanted her to have her- but she left!

Good luck MeMom!

Okay..I want you to be my teacher! :rotfl2: Love all the Disney touches around the room. I definately would've loved to have you.

that's what i keep telling ray. i want to go as many times as possible before the kid turns 3 because, A, they're free and, B, the younger they are the less of an opinion they have! he thinks i'm crazy.

Matt would be the same way....that's why we would need to do our 'girls' trip again :thumbsup2....maybe we could just go with MeMom and Jill too :upsidedow

MeMom - great touches in your room.....I would  to be one of your students :goodvibes

MeMom, I love your Disney boards! Very cute and I'm glad to have a few new ideas!
The picture of the Tremains and Miss Sass is beyond cute!
It's almost 10:00 I'm just getting on the boards and it's time for bed....:sad2:
I need the weekend!

I absolutely love all of your classroom's Disney touches! I don't have a camera right now (mine died when I was down the Cape so I need to get a new one :sad2: ), but I will sometime show you my "Disney corner" -- on the wall right next to my desk, I have a corkboard with Disney things on it and 3 prints hanging up.

I like the bags that you got, too -- there is a Disney store going back into a mall around here...it was taken out and now it's coming back a year or two later, kinda weird but it's fine with me!

Oh, I adore all of your Disney touches!!! How do you keep all your guys up on the boards? Stapler???

Did you buy that Halloween bag recently at the Disney store? The one at the mall or the one at Disney? You know how I have a thing for those Disney bags.

I bought that same bag at North Point Mall this past weekend. I am going to Arbor Place in Douglasville soon. I will let you know if they have it there.

Love your classroom! It's so fun and creative. And I bet it sure makes a long day a bit easier when you see all the little happy touches...and the pictures of your beautiful grandbabies! LOVE the one of Ms. Sass with the Stepsisters! :rotfl:

However, the traffic in Atlanta is horrible. Or anywhere within 250 miles of Atlanta. :rotfl:

True that! You can go through Atlanta at three a.m. and it seems like the whole town is up!

I LOVE your classroom!!! Can I come back to 3rd grade? Please?! :D

Remember, I moved to second grade this year. Are you willing to start your education over from that level? I'll see if there are any extra seats available. It'll have to be in the back, since you might be taller than the average second grader.

Can I join your class?
Well, if you do, you'll start school on Friday, and supposedly that's the day you're going to Disney World! I think...no, I know...I'd rather go to Disney World!

Your room looks great. One of the teachers at my kids school had a giant Mickey Head cut out in the hallway. She then made CM name tags and had the students name on them. Very cute.

That's a cute idea! Do you talk Disney with her?

Your classroom looks fantastic! I'd love to be in your class!! :) And that Halloween bag is adorable. I must have one! ::yes::

For less than three bucks, you can! :)

What great Disney touches. I can only hope that I see some tomorrow in Avery's classroom. Guess I could give her some if I don't see any LOL:rolleyes1
You sure could get someone started on the Disney trail. Just make your teacher gifts Disney ones and see if she catches the fever!

Memom..I would have loved to have a 2nd grade teacher like you!! My second grade teacher let us play games all day long all year long...which as a kid was really cool...but when our summer got messed with...not soo cool!! Needless to say she was fired and never taught again (We were her first class out of college!) SO to have a teacher like you that cared would have been really nice!!

I have a reputation for being a hard teacher, or at least I did in third grade. Some people were scared for their kids to have me, but then when they got there, they appreciated and were amazed at how much their kids learned and really could do. I will say that third grade material is a big stwp up from second, and the material alone can be intimidating. Add in a big old ugly teacher, and that gives a certain fear factor.

Your room is so awesome!! It looks great. I love all of your little touches. :goodvibes

I have a very small cubicle at work and I have many Disney touches crammed into there.

Do we get to see a picture?

ABSOLUTELY!!! They are being educated in the arts!:rotfl: Sounds good to me anyway! Think your principal would go for that?;) I think almost anything goes for a kindergarten field trip. We always took our kind. to the pumpkin farm and that was a just for fun trip IMO. But I do believe that there is something to learn in every experience. I'm sure many of those kids will never see another live show other than that field trip. I think all experiences lead to personal growth, not just what you learn in a textbook. That's why I hated those standardized tests. They forced us to teach by the book and not "waste" any time on "outside of the box" learning. Such a shame.:sad2:

I don't know if Disney on Ice has day shows here, but even if it did, I doubt our district would approve it, as much as I would love it!

So many great, creative Disney touches. I'm sure your students receive the same kind of attention you give to the details of your classroom. My favorites are Mickey Woody lassoing homework, and the celebrate bulletin board. So cute!!!

Thanks. I enjoy putting a little Disney in every school day. I have to fix that lasso today! I thought Stitch was perfect for the bulletin boad.

Hi MeMom and Jill! You probably won't remember me, but I used to post on your earlier TRs. I read your Spring Break TR and then caught up on this one. I feel like I know you and your family. What a talented, loving family! I just can't believe how big princess:Brooklynn has gotten and the arrival of princess:Bella who is just as sweet as her proud big sis!

Just wanted to say Hi and that I'm joining in! If you're interested, you can click the link in my signature and see some of my photos from a Disney photography trip with my Mom last September. I did go with my entire family this past December (but I haven't gotten any pics up yet) and will be going with my son and my Mom this January- staying at Pop! Thanks for letting me join in!

Brooklynn is growing into such a beautiful little girl. She's not a baby any more. Anyone would definitely know that if they had a conversation with her!

We're always glad to have everyone reading along, even if they don't join in the conversation, but we love it when you feel free and comfortable enough to join in!

I saw your pictures. They are awesome! Way better than mine! Let us know when you put December pictures up so that we can enjoy them. :)

January will be a great time to go. The weather will be so nice for moving around the parks.

I think your classroom looks fabulous! Still doesn't make me want to go back though!

I would have been very happy in that class when I was in second grade. My second grade teacher was a drill sargeant!

I'm not military tough, but I am strict. Unfortunately, with so many of the kids we have, their home lives are not very structured, and they need a little extra firmness and structure.

MeMom, your classroom looks awesome! It makes me want to go back to school! Granted, I always get the urge in September to buy new pencils and paper...weird...

And congrats to everyone one all their cutie-pie little ones!

You should check into programs around your area who help needy students. You would be a perfect person to go do some fun school shopping and then give that backpack full of treasures to a needy student. Positive feelings for both parties! :woohoo:

I love your Disney touches through out your classroom. Great Job, fun for the kids, and great memories to help you get through long days.

Sometimes I look at my pictures and just smile remembering the good times we have had. I love the one of Brooklynn at Chef Mickey's. This year, I'll look at the Peter Pan's Flight pin and think of Bella's first ride at Disney World! Good times and good memories! :)

you ain't kiddin'.

Brooklynn has to start paying on our next trip.
I hope she has some money in her piggy bank!

No matter how old your baby is in December 2010, you guys will have a wonderful and very special trip. It will be different with a baby, but it will be extra special!

Your classroom looks great! Your students are going to have to much fun (and hopefully learn a lot, too!) this year.

I love that Halloween bag! So cute!

I'm pretty sure they will learn a lot, and we'll throw in fun when we can. The state's demands make it difficult to find a minute or two for fun, but we'll give it a try!

I like all the fun Disney bags they are selling for so cheap. They make great teacher bags, and they are cheap enough that you can afford to change them up often.

Love it. So cute.

I like this bag. Do they make some Christmas bags like this? If they do I will be getting one of them.

We'll have to wait and see. I've noticed this year that they've done a lot of bags, so maybe the trend will continue.

Oh, I adore all of your Disney touches!!! How do you keep all your guys up on the boards? Stapler???

Did you buy that Halloween bag recently at the Disney store? The one at the mall or the one at Disney? You know how I have a thing for those Disney bags.

Yeah, lots of staples.

That was at the Disney Store at Opry Mills. If you can't find one, I can send you one.

Your classroom looks terrific. I know your students are going to love all of the special touches. :thumbsup2 My DD's teacher has a Figment that they pass around when they need to 'spark' their imaginations.

Now I think I have it all figured out...so here is some magical pixie dust just for you and your DH.pixiedust:

Hope everyone is having a good night.

Looking forward to this TR starting up soon. :surfweb:

I got a Figment soft ball, for when we are in our circle. Only the person holding the ball gets to talk.

I'm procrastinating on the leg right now just because I have been so busy since our return. I've at least looked up the doctor on the internet, so I know I am thinking about going. ;)

John's friend did not survive. His parents donated his organs to I believe they said seven different people, so that was at least some comfort to them - that in his death, he was able to help others have better lives.

You guys should have a big North Georgia meet...
and invite us Tennessee hilbillies to it! :dance3:

If not before, I am going to Alabama this weekend. If neither one of the people whose names start with J have put pictures up, I'm taking the hard drive hostage. I guess it will be best for me to get one of those, because I can do pictures in the middle of the night/early morning, and they're too busy sleeping! :rotfl:

Love the Disney touches to your classroom, MeMom! I plan on teaching high school so you're going to have to help me think of little things I can add to my classroom that are good for older kids! Having it around will help me through the school year until its time for our next trip.

The older kids will love the Disney fun, too, I am sure!

Still waiting on pictures. Tick tock, tick tock.

I put some up last night. You can go ahead and cheat. I have a billion more that you can enjoy later!

I love how you use the pins on your corkboard--- that is too cute. I might have to use that idea someday!
There was a K teacher at Hannah's school that had tons of Disney stuff--- I wanted her to have her- but she left!

Good luck MeMom!

I got that idea from another Diser, and I have happily used it!

Too bad Hannah didn't get the Disney teacher. You could have given her Disney dollars for gifts and she would have been in heaven!

Thanks for the luck. I always need it!

Okay..I want you to be my teacher! Love all the Disney touches around the room. I definately would've loved to have you.

But don't forget, I'm a hard teacher, too!

Matt would be the same way....that's why we would need to do our 'girls' trip again :thumbsup2....maybe we could just go with MeMom and Jill too

MeMom - great touches in your room.....I would  to be one of your students :goodvibes

You'll have to come and visit our school again sometime!

MeMom, I love your Disney boards! Very cute and I'm glad to have a few new ideas!
The picture of the Tremains and Miss Sass is beyond cute!
It's almost 10:00 I'm just getting on the boards and it's time for bed....:sad2:
I need the weekend!

The Steps were too much fun! No one else was there, so we got to spend a few minutes with them. They were great!

We'd love to see your Disney corner! I'm glad you have been able to be back on the boards a little more lately.

Maybe you'll get a really cool new Disney Store! Some of them are more nicely decorated than others. We have two here - one at Opry Mills and one at Cool Springs. The CS one has a lot more decor - the big figurines, window display, etc. are so much better than Opry Mills.

I bought that same bag at North Point Mall this past weekend. I am going to Arbor Place in Douglasville soon. I will let you know if they have it there.

You guys should all meet up at one of those malls like we did at Opry Mills!

Love your classroom! It's so fun and creative. And I bet it sure makes a long day a bit easier when you see all the little happy touches...and the pictures of your beautiful grandbabies! LOVE the one of Ms. Sass with the Stepsisters! :rotfl:

No doubt it makes it makes for a happier day!

Just looking at pictures of those girls can bring a smile to my face and sometimes a tear to my eye. I love those girls so much, and I miss them something terrible, especially after a Disney trip when I've been used to seeing them every day.

Wow...I just got done admiring all your Disney touches to your room and I have been inspired!!! I definitely want to add some Disney touches to my room!!! I loved your bulletin board!!!

I really also liked that Halloween Bag...how I wish there was a Disney store nearby LOL!

I'm glad I shared the pictures. Maybe you guys can now think about putitng Disney happiness in your rooms, and we'll just Disney up this blah old world!

Where is your nearest Disney Store? I don't mind sending out of few to those who really want them.

I will head to our Disney Store this weekend and see if they have them. If they don't, you may be hearing from me (thank you so very much). :goodvibes

No problem. I thought it would make a cute Trick-or-Treat bag for Brooklynn if we get to go in October.

*********************************

If you knew of someone who dreamed that it was the first day of school
and her classroom was on the other side of the Brown Derby
and it had walls but no roof
and it started raining as you were talking to parents
and you all had to figure out which indoor attraction to run to
and she had forgotten to put out her final list of students
and she started to the office to get it
but had to stop to take pictures of a very short Disney parade that was coming down the hall.............

would you think that someone was crazy?

Just a random question, of course! :rolleyes1

Your boards look fantastic. I have 3 grandkids that started school yesterday. Jacob and Grace are in 2nd and Christian is in Kdg. they would love to come into a room like that everyday. Are any of your kids Disney kids?
