Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

*sigh* I'd love to be riding the monorail right now!

Hey..when you took that pic of someone's stone outside the MK, you had to have just walked over ours! It's not too far from that one!

Okay, don't laugh at me but...have you ever noticed that the 3 Resorts on the monorail each have their own smell? Or maybe it's just me. :rotfl2:

The GF is gorgeous. I could just sit in that lobby all day and people watch.

I hope you are having a good Monday, Memom. Do you think your knee is ready for your trip? I hope it is, and I hope you have a great time.

I am pretty sure that I would be in seventh heaven eating shrimp etouffee -- YUM!

I'm pretty sure that you would be, too. Speaking of shrimp etoufee, I'm making some tonight... or maybe tomorrow actually since I work late this evening. (And I have to pick up some mix from the store!) I'll have to ask my Grandma to send the good stuff up from New Orleans.

I don't mind you joining in and jumping off topic at all, but there is little chance that I am going to be trying crawfish anything! To each his own, but to me, that sounds gross! I'll leave the crawfish for those of you who appreciate it. :goodvibes

The three things that I know I want to get are the Italian pizza, because Jill said it was so good, an empanada, and the praline bread pudding.

Honestly, if you like shrimp, I really think you'd like crawfish! :) The praline bread pudding sounds DELICIOUS! Now I'm really missing New Orleans!

I do fried shrimp. Does that count?

You two have me gagging over the thought of the crawfish!:eek:

Fried shrimp = shrimp. So it counts! ;)

:yay: My DMom and I have decided to go on the DISNEY CRUISE!
END OF FEBRUARY 2010! :yay:

We are going to surprize Lexi at Christmas with it....so shhh...it's our little secret....;)

:yay: I can't wait, it's going to be soo much fun!! :yay:

Gotta go....turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, turnip, brussel sprouts, pumpkin & pecan pies are calling me......Yummy! :)

MeMom - I'd probably decide that I was too cheap to get a new t-shirt... but probably more so I could by something else. Particularly if that something else was something of Jim Shore's... :rolleyes1

BrooklynnsMommy - your week sounds crazy too... good luck!

You are soooo lucky, here in our part of Kansas we have nuttin!

I just wanted to say you aren't kidding! I'm sorry to say that we somehow always manage to get lost in Derby though.. not sure how. We will probably be moving somewhere in KS next July and our only hope seems to be that there be a Walmart/Target relatively close....

I just LOVE seeing pictures of the GF!!! To me, it's the ultimate dream hotel!! Thank you for sharing those with us.

Just an update on my little peanut. We went to the doctor today and Isabella is in the 4th percentile in weight. She weighs 12 pounds and 15 ounces at 6 months old. She is still wearing mostly 0-3 month clothing. Everything else is looking totally average or above average. Her length was 25 inches and that puts her in the 75 percentile. She is crawling around like crazy and eating like a pig. Off to clean up and start packing hopefully. Let's be honest though I'm probably going to put Brooklynn in bed and crash myself!

You do have a little peanut! My boy was 22 in at birth! He only wore newborn clothes for two weeks and then was too long for the footie pjs and had to move up a size. I love to see babies starting to crawl. Unfortunately once they start walking, as you know, life as you know it is over. Glad to hear that she is healthy and doing well.

My oldest ( now 18) was 6lbs at birth and only 18 inches long. People kept saying she was like one of those big 18" dolls in the store :rotfl2: I probably could have bought her doll clothes. She made her own scale under the one printed at the Dr. office.
She wore her clothes 0-3 months until at least 3 months- 6 months until at least 6 mo and so on.

At 18 years old and healthy she can still fit into childrens 16 pants but we cross over to junior sizes now and then. She topped out at about 5'3" so length is always a problem. As long as she eats and seems happy she is fine.

I am sure Bella will fill out in time.

Good luck with with whirlwind week.

It was like a Mexican beef pastry -- if Jill eats tacs, she'll eat an empanada.

I was thinking the same thing (have never had sushi), but then I saw the prices at the Japan kiosk, and we skipped it. Maybe one day...

I think she'll at least try it.

Well, if sushi is too expensive, that'll be my excuse for not trying it! ;)

*sigh* I'd love to be riding the monorail right now!

That's interesting. I don't have a brick, but I wish I did.

All the resorts do have their own familiar smells. I just told Jill when we were last at Opry Mills that there is a certain smell as you get near Rainforest Cafe, too. I could walk through there blindfolded and I would know when we were getting close. :)

I hope you are having a good Monday, Memom. Do you think your knee is ready for your trip? I hope it is, and I hope you have a great time.

It was a decently good Monday. Another one of our students was diagnosed with H1N1, so that's our fifth case. I haven't heard of anything serious coming from any of them, though.

I think it's going to be a real test for my knee. I am walking much better, but every once in a while there is a sharp pain. My stamina is nowhere near what I would want it to be, but I hope Jill will have mercy on me. I think I'll do as good, if not a little better, than I did this summer.

Okay, I can do fried shrimp.

I'd like to go to New Orleans someday. For now, we're excited enough to be staying at POFQ on our Disney trip!

We won't tell. That's an awesome surprise!

How was your Thanksgiving dinner? We have a while to go before our Thanksgiving. Was your work closed for the holiday?

Most likely, unless the 2009 shirts are just really awesome, I'll be wearing the old one. I will be buying very little on this trip. I am broke. :upsidedow
I do love the Jim Shore figures, though.

Maybe when you move to Kansas, you guys can work out a Dis meet. Maybe wigd can teach you how to find your way through Derby. :)

I just LOVE seeing pictures of the GF!!! To me, it's the ultimate dream hotel!! Thank you for sharing those with us.

That's where the Full House gang stayed when they went, remember? :goodvibes I thought that was rather interesting. I thought it was even more interesting that young Steve had the means to stay there on his own, and that he was able to walk right up to the desk and get a room with no reservation.

She is crawling around like crazy and eating like a pig.

I can vouch for both!

Kiss my babies for me and tell them I love them soooo much!

She's finally starting to fill out 0-3 month clothes.

Trent pulled himself up and stood beside his rocking horse when he was five months old. I told him in no uncertain terms he was too young for that, but it was only a taste of what was to come. He was always just naturally physically advanced. I think Bella is going to be a lot like him.

So many people at Disney World said the same thing. They thought Jill had a doll hanging on her! I had a great grandmother who was extremely small, so maybe her genes are speaking up in Bella!

love the poly pictures. a nice evening treat.

I thought of you... so close to your trip and we did a Disney music medley for dinner time. I chose Spectro... which brings me to tears.... I think that just might be my favorite thing in all of WDW. Bring me back a picture of that MeMom and Jill!

My oh my what a peanut you have in Bella....

More tomorrow. I have things to do before bedtime.

Aww sweet little bella. I can't believe she is still wearing 0-3 months. Is Brooklyn big for her age or normal?
Amy was always big when she was little but now she is in about the 15 percentile. Emily was really tiny but then when she turned about 7 she started catching up and now she's all caught up with her age. So you never know.

It won't be that long until December is here and you will be back again. It seems like the fall months fly by for us at school.

Until then, I bet Marc and Baylor wouldn't object to you making empanadas at home. You could have your own World Showcase night. :)
I might just suggest a night this weekend at "On the Border" they have great empanadas. I could never make them as good!

I just wanted to say you aren't kidding! I'm sorry to say that we somehow always manage to get lost in Derby though.. not sure how. We will probably be moving somewhere in KS next July and our only hope seems to be that there be a Walmart/Target relatively close....

We actually have a year old Target and a big Walmart right here in Derby, KS. You will have to let me know if you end up moving down here! I'll be happy to help you find your way through Derby anytime!

Jill, Bella is such a little cutie, I can't believe how tiny she is! It's almost Tuesday, another day closer to your trip!

MeMom, great pictures of the Poly, I would really like to stay there someday. Maybe a split stay....someday.....maybe.

I had a brief thought of trying sushi, because I have never had it, but I don't know. Some people love it, but it sounds gross to me. I figure if I am ever going to try it, I should try it in Disney World, right? It remains to be seen if this stays a thought or becomes a reality.

if it's reasonably priced, you should try it. why not? you might like it. my dad loves it. my sister loves it. i however do not like it. i tried some a few years ago and didn't like it. brooke got me to try some again in new york at blue fin (sushi is their specialty) and it wasn't BAD....i'm just a texture-based eater and it was too mushy for me. but you have to remember that i also don't like pinto or baked beans because of their texture. some people tell me i'm missing out but i just can't deal with it. anyway, with all that being said, you never know - you may find a new favorite food!

beautiful pics of the poly, by the way. they were nice on this cold, rainy day in georgia!

Your comment about the Full House family staying at the GF made me laugh

Every time my family and I stop there on our vacations I always point out the piano and say "that's uncle Jessie's piano" :lmao:

You all will have an amazing trip! My parents just got back a couple weeks ago and loved MNSSHP and got tons of candy :)

Glad to hear Bella is healthy. She is still adorable, even if she is a little one. :goodvibes

I didn't have to work today, it was a holiday! :woohoo: Diner was fantastic! :thumbsup2

Beautiful pictures of the Poly! If you continue your new tradition of staying the last two nights at a deluxe, you'll get to stay there someday!

Denise

AT Brooklynn's 3 year appt. 3 weeks ago she was 39 and a half inches tall and 36 pounds which put her in the 95th percentile for height and 98th percentile for weight. She has been wearing 4T and some 5T clothes for about 6 months now. She towers over her friends in class at school.
