Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

phew! finally caught up.

Bella was so excited about riding Dumbo!

IMG_0052.jpg

:rotfl2:

You may recognize this CM from Small World. He's been there a while.

IMG_0093.jpg

ya think??? i'd love to have a conversation with him about disney though.

The time was now:

IMG_0094.jpg

bless you guys for waking up so early. i can't even imagine having my husband anywhere besides in the bed asleep before 9:00 while on vacation!

The exciting thing about this day, later on, is that these guys arrive!

IMG_0272.jpg

yay.....cute boys! and you have a variety of colors to choose from, too. :lmao: (you know i'm just kidding - i hope that doesn't offend you!)

oh, i haven't seen this one. i want it!

Since Trent and Jarvis didn't have a window decoration, she offered to put Tink in their window. Trent quickly nixed that idea, since they were two guys staying in that room.

why not???? :rotfl:

As you can tell by this picture, in which Jarvis is soaring into Epcot, it could be that he was happy for this vacation, too!

IMG_0281.jpg

that is too cute!

IMG_0282.jpg

Did you look in the mirror? ;)

hi, memom!

Bella, again very excited to be at Epcot.

IMG_0283.jpg

ray and i both laughed at this picture. :goodvibes

i love this picture!

We had to end the meal with a group picture.

IMG_0335.jpg

great picture! is brooklynn wearing a kimono (i know i spelled that wrong!)?

:goodvibes

very cool picture! :thumbsup2

Dawn is at the beach in Savannah. She was going to go to The Lady & Sons yesterday, I think. You'll never believe what she was saying yesterday! She said, "If I had to be a bird, I'd be a pelican!" Can you believe that bird-fearing girl even had that thought???

i just saw this! sitting there, watching the pelicans sitting on the waves all day, and just every now and then flying up, checking out things below and diving down for a fish, made me start thinking of what a great life they have. they are still evil, but they have a great life.

Definitely see this one...and get there on time!!!

i'm going to be sitting with heather and her family. my friend erin (the one you met last month) may be going too with her little sister, but she hasn't bought her tickets yet and i didn't want to wait. so if they go, i will be riding with them and meeting heather there. if they don't go, i will ride by myself (no big deal - i'm a big girl). all of that being said, anna is not a factor this time. i love anna to death but the girl is always late!!! so i don't think that will be an issue this time.

Pretty restrooms.

IMG_0036.jpg

this looks like the restroom where erica and i heard a woman yelling at her kids. it was really bad. makes one wonder why some people have kids in the first place???

oh, my mouth waters just looking at it.

-evening ADR at Kona

yum!!!

-Epcot Food & Wine fun, only ours will be more like food fun, since we don't drink

more yum!!!

We are planning to do something fun around here during my spring break, though, and Jill and I plan to meet Dawn, Heather, Jackie, whoever...for the Mary Poppins event in Atlanta in the spring.

You know I am super excited about this!!! It will also mean we are that much closer to our summer trips!!!

Now, back to your update...

Who eats bananas and healthy stuff at Disney for breakfast when there are Mickey waffles beckoning??? I guess that is why Trent and Jarvis are in so much better shape than me.

Your pictures truly capture the beauty of the Grand Floridian -- one day I hope to stay there! :lovestruc

Thanks for sharing your schedule with us -- now we can imagine what you are doing! :goodvibes There are lots of good eats at the Food and Wine Festival -- lots of them!

Great pictures, MeMom!! Those are incredible!

Your schedule looks great! Sounds like you guys are going to have a great time!

And you gals update so fast...I hope I haven't missed anything! One of these slow days at work, I might just go back to the beginning again just in case I missed anything. :goodvibes

Have a great night!

I enjoyed the walk around the Grand Floridian. We tried Narcoossee's for the first time last month. The key lime creme brulee may be my new favorite dessert!

Forgive the yellow blotchy pictures coming up.
Who knows what kind of setting I had the camera on?
I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to cameras.

This was the first full day for the boys, and they had decided they wanted to hit a waterpark.

But first, there was food.

Drew's food.

The CMs were doing the morning Twist.

Trent and Jarvis getting something healthy - bananas and granola bars, most likely.

IMG_0027.jpg

I hope to be getting off the monorail and eating at Chef Mickey's our first night...my nephew will  it! Me too! ;)

The Handy Manny trucks, I am sure my nephew will have to insist on getting! He loves his Handy Manny!! We were discussing this tonight as we were talking about who he was going to visit and my mom mentioned Handy Manny but I said I don't believe you can meet him...maybe he is too busy helping the townspeople with their construction projects or something...but I am surprised Disney does not have a meet and greet with him!:confused3

We are starting to get our restaurant lists around and hopefully the February calender will come out soon so we can plan our park days!

If I don't talk to you before Friday "Have a great trip!"

Awwwwww Memom I have really enjoyed all of your great pictures but the Grand Floridian are my favorites!!!!!! DH, DS2 & I just got back on Monday from a 8 day stay. We had an AMAZING time. Thank you so much for helping me feel as if we were back in that beautiful setting.

You can meet Handy Manny most days outside Playhouse Disney at Hollywood Studios. We have seen him there several times.

Hi Memom! I will send you a PM with my cell number so you can text me on Weds to let me know if a meet will be possible. Our ressie for T-Rex is for 1 pm. Just let me know if it will fit into yalls schedule.

Beautiful pics of the Grand!
It brings me back...
How I miss it!

How awesome that you got to stay there! It's growing on me, and I want to stay there for at least one night sometime, just to say we did.

Welcome to our report. We hope you enjoy the group of people who hang out here. Please make yourself at home and contribute any time. Feel free to share some of your GF pictures, which I'm sure are much better than these blurry, yellow ones I got!

Thanks so much for the beautiful GF pics.....I loooove that resort! I priced it for our December trip . Maybe I can hold out 25 to 30 years when Dave and I retire and we can take a trip and stay there.....or when we win the lottery.

I can't wait to see your pics from your next trip. I am thinking I want us to try to go back next year for Sept/Oct because the decorations look so wonderful.....Maybe I should get through our December trip first before I start all of this planning.

That would be a great anniversary trip!

Is your knee doing better.....hopefully you will be able to walk around with a lot less pain!

A bunch of us at work chip in a dollar a week to take a chance on winning the millions. We're all keeping our day jobs, though!

Fall in the Magic Kingdom is so pretty. I can't wait to be there again. I missed it last year, but this is Jill's third October in a row. She's gotten spoiled to having her birthday trips. :goodvibes

There is still some pain, but nothing like it was. I have to walk kind of slow, and I still don't do well at sudden turns, but I know that will come in time. Surprisingly, it is still very sore when I bend it, but it's a lot better than that boxcutter feeling I had going on!

I forgot.....do you remember the price for the portraits in GF? From your pics they look really nice. If you don't remember it is not a big deal! Thanks

I didn't look. I just snapped the picture and went on. It was a pretty little sitting area, so I got a picture.

whew! Sounds like you have a busy week coming up. I hope it flies by, though not overwhelmingly so. Your plans sound much better for next week... but can't imagine why! I can't wait to see your pictures. I'm hoping that some future trip will include Food and Wine and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Glad to hear your leg is doing better.

Rachel

I do need it to go a little slower than last week, actually. Our kids are out Friday, so we have to pack five days into four.

I got my 2007 MNSSHP t-shirt out to take. If I decide I'm too cheap to buy a new one, I'll wear the old one. ;)

Oh the Grand Floridian is so beautiful!! We did a photo session there last year and the pictures turned out wonderful. Your October plans sound great! Did you ever get a good deal on a flight? 28 more days for us! I'm so excited! Too bad our trips won't overlap a little. My DD would love Brooklyn. My poor baby is so sick right now though. I was really worried that she has the flu, but the test this morning at urgent care was negative. She is so pitiful. I wish I could pixie dust it away!

We had some flight credit, so I don't think it was bad. Jill takes care of transportation and I take care of accomodations. She would know better than I do, but I do know there were at least two decreases in price from when we first booked.

Beautiful pictures....looking forward to the Poly!!

5 days is tough, but 5 days at Disney is better than zero! Then just a couple months after that, and you'll be BACK!

You are staying at POFQ this trip, right? Pop in December?

That's true. It is exciting going in October and then again in December. As much as I do like December, I really enjoyed being there at Thanksgiving last year, so we may do that again next year. We'll see.

French Quarter it is. Beignets, here we come!
Pop in December. :thumbsup2

What beautiful pictures of the GF! After a long day at the Disney A Christmas Carol train today that hammock looked very inviting!

You have to tell us all about the train event, and share pictures, of course! Dawn had pictures, too. I wish it would have come near here.

Love the GF pics. I agree with you on it being to fancy for me. Can't wait to see the Poly pics. All that walking on ur poor knee.
Plans for the upcoming trip look great. So jealous! You ladies are going to have so much fun!:yay:

It is fancy, and I used to think I wouldn't want to stay there, but the more I visit, the more I like it. One night will do for me, though, as visiting is fine.

Yes, we are going to have fun! :cool1:

phew! finally caught up.

We'll see if that CM is at Small World next week!

We're just used to getting up early, but we're grateful that most people do like to sleep in so that we can have our short lines in the mornings.

You know, I thought of you when I saw that carousel.

Brooklynn is wearing a kimono. I keep thinking I'm going to buy her one some day. Maybe she and Bella can dress as Japanese girls for Halloween some day.

I can't wait to see your pictures. You have to send us a phone picture of you guys.

You know I am super excited about this!!! It will also mean we are that much closer to our summer trips!!!

A Mickey waffle beats an ordinary banana any day for me!

I have had that praline bread pudding on my mind from the first mention of it!

You can meet Handy Manny most days outside Playhouse Disney at Hollywood Studios. We have seen him there several times.

Cool!! I think that is a secret I will keep to myself so that he will be excited to see him and of course if we don't see him then we won't have disappointment also!! I will have to look out for him!!

Your schedule looks great! Sounds like you guys are going to have a great time!

Have a great night!

I've tried to keep up with the pages for the most part in my first post, so you might want to look there. I've probably missed some, though.

I enjoyed the walk around the Grand Floridian. We tried Narcoossee's for the first time last month. The key lime creme brulee may be my new favorite dessert!

Key lime creme brulee sounds delicious!

It's so hard to come back to the real world, isn't it???
GF is so pretty!

You can meet Handy Manny most days outside Playhouse Disney at Hollywood Studios. We have seen him there several times.

As a matter of fact, we might be seeing Manny this time next week!!! :woohoo:

Hi Memom! I will send you a PM with my cell number so you can text me on Weds to let me know if a meet will be possible. Our ressie for T-Rex is for 1 pm. Just let me know if it will fit into yalls schedule.

Got your PM and wrote it down. I'm thinking there will be a good chance for us to be there, as going to DTD on our last day is sounding good to me. I'm guessing we could just meet you in the gift shop back by the Build-a-Dino about ten minutes until one, but we'll let you know for sure.

I love your pictures of the GF--so pretty! It's so exciting that your next trip is just a few days away!!!

Denise

Today was church. Brooklynn has a birthday party in about 45 minutes that will last until it is time to go back to church tonight and then after church we have a potluck with our small group. Tomorrow is Isabella's 6 month check up and then work until 6:00. Open the school at 6:30 Tuesday and have a staff meeting Tuesday night until 7:00. Wednesday open the school and the church that night and then on Thursday I just have work on my agenda. Not sure when I'm going to pack and finish making t-shirts and a Flounder costume. This time next week we will have eaten breakfast with the Einsteins and we will be hanging out at Hollywood!

Hope you guys are having a great Sunday!

MeMom, loveeee your GF pictures. That place is gorgeous, as we all know, and you did such a great job of capturing it. Makes me wish I was there on that beach as the weather gets progressively colder up here in the Northeast! :cloud9:

Your schedule for next week looks so good!! We'll all try to imagine we're there, soaking up the magic with you girls :goodvibes

MeMom: here's a quick report on my trip to Disney on Ice Celebrations!

Hannah and I went to this show last night in Charlotte and it was AWESOME! It was a very magical evening! She got her homework done quickly and we left at 5:00...took 35 minutes to get there. Parked in a parking garage about a block from the arena. She wanted to ride the train so I paid for round trip tickets. Yeah...I bought tickets to ride a block away.

We went to Brixx pizza for dinner and sat at a table outside. There were lots of other people there all heading to Disney on Ice. There were several little girls dressed up in their princess attire and they looked so cute! We had plenty of time once we got to the arena so Hannah checked out all the merchandise. The Disney marketing machine was in full swing last night! She ended up with a spinny light thing with Minnie on the top.

We had great seats...second row front and center right in front of the rink...two end seats. Only problem was the big dude in the first seat on the front row. It was a pain trying to see sometimes but it worked out. We got home about 10:00 and I had to wake her up so she could go to bed. LOL I don't know which was more fun...watching the show or watching Hannah enjoying the show!

Here's some pictures from our magical evening:

Got your PM and wrote it down. I'm thinking there will be a good chance for us to be there, as going to DTD on our last day is sounding good to me. I'm guessing we could just meet you in the gift shop back by the Build-a-Dino about ten minutes until one, but we'll let you know for sure.

Sounds good! I look forward to hearing from yall!

You have to tell us all about the train event, and share pictures, of course! Dawn had pictures, too. I wish it would have come near here.

Here ya go!

Clay ended up going in to work yesterday so it was a girls day out. We got there at 8:20 and we were in the first group to go in. I don't wear a watch and don't know what time it was when they started letting us in but I thought then that there was no way it was 9:00 yet.

After the preview we grabbed a bite to eat then we walked up to the station and bought tickets for the 11:00 train ride. We hung out at the roundhouse for a while, hit the gift shop and left about 12:30. We can't wait to see the movie!

Alot of my pics from inside came out blurry because I had it on the night setting since we couldn't use flash photography. I've GOT to work on taking pictures with that setting. I can't wait until we get our face morph pictures. That was fun! We all ended up with the picture of Scrooge as a young boy because those were the best ones.

Here's some pictures from our day:

Funny, and embarassing, story about this first picture. I took this when we got there and was standing there talking with the girls when the lady "behind" me "politely" informed me that "this is the front of the line." I guess I hadn't had enough coffee because I didn't realize it was the front of the line! LOL I apologized profusely and we went to the back of the line. I hope she didn't think I was just putting on because I honestly didn't realize it! LOL
