Broken back in Universal

My sister just found out she broke her back in cheerleading.
We are going in 60 days (8 weeks).
We are hopeful that she will be able to do a little bit more because she will be healed more.

However, we have never been to Universal and I need to know what all there will be that she can do.

I know that she will be able to do the Olivander's wand shop, which she is excited about.

I am also wondering how harsh the minion ride is, because it is one that she really wanted to do.

Any suggestions would be great!

The Minion ride has a row of stationary seats in the very front, so that should not be an issue for her. She could also ride the Hogwarts Express between Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade (do this both ways, as the ride movie is different). Make sure to take in the 3 Harry Potter themed shows in DA, and the 2 in Hogsmeade. They're all wonderful! She could also have lots of fun with an interactive wand, casting spells in both DA and Hogsmeade. I hope your sister gets well soon!

WE sat in stationary seats at Shrek and Terminator when we were there in 2012, so that is an option as well.

The shows are really good - Horror Make-up especially. We really enjoyed BeetleJuice. And Sinbad is good, esp. if you're never seen it. Depending on how much she is able to do, E.T. is about like Peter Pan, ride and motion-wise and is one of the best dark rides. Nothing wrong with checking out Twister, as well.....

Should also be able to do Terminator, not sure about Disaster (can't remember how much it moves). Agree the Horror Make UP show- watch it every time-never gets old

I would keep her to mostly shows.Despicable me , Shrek and terminator have stationary seats.Twister is a walk through attraction..I would honestly worry with most of the rides.

DIsaster moves quite a bit..i broke my fingers on it when it jolted and I got bumped forward and put my hand out to stop from falling .

Naturally, you need to clear the trip with her medical providers. Follow any restrictions they put in place.

If she drastically reduces her mobility due to this injury, may find her stamina is not what she expects. If so, might want to consider a WC

And I guess this goes without saying, but....NO Mummy!! I say that because you can't see the track and I'm not sure if you've been before or not.

If she needs a wheelchair, which I assume she will, if you don't bring your own, you are better off renting from an off-site company so she can have it 24 hours a day. If you rent from parks, you can only use it in the parks. If you are staying on-site, email or call your resort - they have an "approved" vendor which makes it a little easier to deal with at the resorts.

Agree with what everyone else has said. She can do the tour of Hogwarts even if she can't ride. And, there are lots of hidden places in Hogwarts and Diagon Alley that are fun to explore, even in a wheelchair.
