Long time Dis-er and DW also on the 2025 cruise. Looking forward to all of it but my special interest is anything related to The Beatles in Liverpool. This will be our 3rd time to Liverpool (also for Beatles related activities.) Anyone else with similar interests?

Can you get to the top without doing significant uphill walking?

The Royal Mile isn't handicap friendly, tho DH made it on crutches. It was a challenge! We had tickets to the royal military Tattoo and he was determined to make it.

Edinburgh is a bit twee and royal mile full of tacky gift shops etc. the royals arent nice people anyway. If you want to see a real nice castle head to Stirling, or even just across in Dumbarton.

We loved Stirling Castle. I have a paperweight replica of a unicorn tapestry on my desk right now.

And, while I generally steer clear of the super touristy things, I actually really enjoyed kissing the Blarney Stone. The grounds and ruins are cool, and then it’s just fun to do something so iconic.
