Has anyone tried this? My dentist is selling it now and I"m tempted to try it.

I haven't done the whitening pen, but I did do the regular BriteSmile (costs around $500). I believe the pen would be the equivalent to the other products on the market, just depends on the cost.

When I started wanting my teeth whitened, my dentist told me to try Crest White Strips (premium). He said that he'd much rather me spend $30 than $600. If the strips work, then the dentist can improve upon that up to three shades. I did the strips and was amazed! I then wanted more! I chose BriteSmile because it is done in one trip and you don't have to use bleach trays every day.

I also tried other "paint on" whitening products. I thought they were nasty and made me gag. Like having mucus in your mouth (sorry).

I would compare costs. Pen vs. other products on the market. There's even an article in Consumer Reports which rates the products!

i really have to get off my butt and try some of these products. my teeth are really stained from years of drinking tea and coffee. :(

sometimes i feel like that commercial where the guy smiles and his teeth are totally yellow and alarm sounds go off. :p :(

I use the individual (one time use) capsuls by gosmile. They don't leave your teeth filmy, and have a strong minty taste and smell. They actually freshen your breath. However, I have not tried their 14 day jump start. I just use the daylies for maintainence (suggested at 1-2 per week). At 30 for $38, it is a really cheap option.

I have trays (aka, clear retainers) that I bleach with when I really need to and how I got them this white. I use opalesence gel from my dentist in them. It is about $30 for 3 tubes. I was bleaching every month before using go smile. Now I do it every 3 months and maintain with go smile.

I really like their product and have tried all those other paints and strips. Go smile is just better.

www.gosmile.com
or www.sephora.com sells it too.

Edited to add: Since you throw them away after each use, they are more sanitary too. You don't have to buy a new one if you get sick.
