How about trying to help other girls not make the same mistake as her?
Bristol has worked with the National Campaign to prevent teen pregnancy and The Candies Foundation. I think she can pretty proud of that. I'm sure there are many other things she has done, but since I don't know her personally I can't answer that, however I do know that I would never judge her entirely on the fact that she had sex as a teen and got pregnant, decided to keep the baby and raise him and plan to marry his father (which thankfully she didn't do that). Apparently you can.

It can't go both ways.

Sure it can. Because she is also incredibly loved within her own party and certain factions therein. As you can't vote against anyone, only for them, Bristol can reap the love votes without suffering the negative votes. It makes perfect sense.

I just want to say, my family had our mouths dropped just like Derek did last night. And Derek is friends with Mark. My husband has been wanting ABC to step in and get her off. Bristol has improved on her dancing, but she is nowhere near the capability of Brandy. Obviously, this season is about popularity, not the ability to dance. Just imagine if she takes it all. My family will continue to vote for Kyle.

Why should ABC step in? I was surprised she was still on the show for the past couple of weeks, but would never think the network should do something about people voting and participating in an interactive show. What Maks said at the end of the show sums it all up to me.

I think Mermaid was asking how you became aware of the bolded. Did you hear her say she was proud of getting pregnant, or did you do the twisting? Maybe she said she's proud of the mother she has become, or maybe she didn't say anything at all, and you just assume getting pregnant out of wedlock is something she is proud of. Enquiring minds want to know, how do you know she's proud of getting preggos without a ring on her finger?

Call in vote shows always upset me because votes can be based on anything.

I was listening to the radio show and someone called in and said they voted for Bristol because she'll need the money more. That's in regard to her (Bristol) not being a professional like the other contestants.

That's why I never get too involved in these shows more than just enterainment and never have a favorite. I personally think that it should be all based on judges scores. I would actually watch the show more if I felt it was based on skill.

Unfortnately, Bristol is getting the bad publicity about this and I'm sure ABC approached her on being on the show because of this reaction. Big money for them.

well, someone finally at least gave some examples - but where some see doing something selflessly - others see other motivations - I have already touched on that in other posts...

I agree, you shouldn't judge someone solely on the pregnancy thing - it was just part of a larger argument!

once again, if anyone actually cares: as I said - it was part of a larger argument where I was making a specific point and her saying had nothing to do to with it. I am quite sure she never has said so, though again it really doesn't matter to my argument.
