Bristol Palin and DWTS results

You think telling you to go back and re-read your post is personal attack? um okay

in the first post you said something to the effect that I wasn't mature and "perfect"

I shouldn't have to clarify - you should have to go back and read your first post !:lmao:

Really I think the Tea Party movement has better things to do than sit around making sure the call in a vote for Bristol.
One would certainly hope so. ;)

I didn't say Bristol was a star, your words, I said Steve Wozniak is not a star in my opinion, yet I don't recall any screaming protests about that. Making a mistake by getting pregnant as an unmarried teen is far different than lying to a grand jury and going to prison (Lil Kim anyone, or molesting teenagers, such as Lawrence Taylor). Where was the outrage regarding Lil Kim being on a family oriented show? Please. True colors are showing clearly on this thread.
Lots of people said Steve Wozniak didn't belong on the show. I was one of them. He didn't make it far enough for it to get discussed as much as Bristol has.

I don't think anyone expects hatred, rage, ridicule, belittling & condescention because they go on a dancing show. Criticism of dancing ability yes, the rest no. People should really be ashamed of themselves. There but for the grace of God go I.
Um, where is all this hatred, ridicule, etc? I don't see that at all. I see people stating their opinions. She's not as good a dancer as other "stars" who were eliminated before her (well, that one is a fact) and doesn't deserve to be in the top three. Just because the show tells us to vote for the "star" you want to see dance again, doesn't mean people can't have differences of opinion on who that should be, or even the reasoning used to determine who you want to see again. I don't vote often, but when I do, it's for someone who I find entertaining to watch, not someone who's mother I agree with politcially. I personally know people voting for Bristol for that reason, and I don't think it's the right reason at all.

Now I have to google Steve Wozniak.... no idea who that guy is.......
Seriously!? :confused3 How old are you?

I agree. How fair is it for the lady who was on Dirty Dancing to compete? And if i have to hear her whine or cry one more time i may lose it. Suck it up or keep moving.

Dirty Dancing came out in 1987, the same year she suffered a neck injury in a car accident. Now, I haven't followed her career, but since she had to have surgery to stabilize her neck before being able to compete on DWTS this year, I would assume she has not being doing much in the way of dancing for the past 23 years.

I would prefer to see contestants with similar dancing abilities from the start, and didn't think it was fair when Nicole Sherzinger competed, but I don't see Jennifer Gray as anywhere near Nicole's level of current professional dance experience.

As much as I dislike that Bristol is still in the competition, I think she knows exactly why she's still there. What is she supposed to say when asked by the media? "Thanks mom!" It's also easy to forget that in many ways both she and Kyle are just kids. Add their ages together and they are still not as old as Jennifer :lmao:.

MTE. She doesn't deserve some of the things said about her just because of who her mother is or why they think she is still there.

I haven't seen hatred or rage, so we obviously have very different definitions of those terms. As far as whether ridicule and condescension should be expected? This is not even close to the first season, and Bristol hasn't had even close to the most negative attention compared to past seasons. So, yes, it should all have been expected if anyone had watched even one season, which I would certainly expect a potential contestant to do. She is pretty obviously not being put through for her dancing abilities. Fine, that is the voter's choice. But, with that comes the negative attention as well. If you want people to only comment on her dancing ability, then perhaps people should only VOTE based on dancing ability. Which they are clearly not doing.
You said that much better than I did! :thumbsup2

The more I think about it the more I feel sorry for Bristol. She seems like a sweet girl who is also very headstrong and competitive. I'm thinking back to when her mom said that she insisted that she play youth football. It's got to be killing her knowing that her ability has not gotten her into the top three. Maybe she is naive enough to believe that her voters are keeping her in because she's "real" and not "Hollywood". While I do not doubt that some are, many others have a different agenda in mind when voting. As a result poor Bristol is brought back week after week to face a new dance (or in this case FOUR) that she can barely perform.
:lmao: :lmao: at the bolded.

:thumbsup2

I thought you were done? Oh and to clarify things for you, in my first post I was implying that you didn't think Bristol was as perfect or mature as you, because as you see it, she has never done anything to be proud of, but I guess you didn't get that.

oh OK!:rolleyes1

and to clarify, she has done NOTHING to be proud of or that can be called an accomplishment. Getting pregnant as she did IS NOTHING to be proud of. (And, yes, if held up to her life choices - mine were very much more mature and "perfect" than hers at this age - thank you very much!!!!)

you have stated NOTHING to prove the comments about Bristol wrong!!!!:sad2:

If you would stop engaging me and calling me out - I would be done:lmao:

Many children are born out of wedlock and many are raised by single moms. While the circumstances may not be perfect, the children themselves ARE something to be proud of.

The whole thing is really just a popularity contest- people can vote for whomever they like, for whatever reason they like. So far Bristol has had the votes to keep her in the competition.

And I still haven't googled Wozniak.....

nice spin or twisting my words.

and I never said anything to oppose that...Bristol herself has nothing to be proud of for getting pregnant.......that was my point and you know it, but thanks for playing!:lmao:

(man what some people won't stoop to when they got nothin'.....:lmao:)

I find it humorous that people are this upset over an entertainment show. All the show including American Idol have had upsets and people have voted for a person that isn't technically the best. While I think there are people with political motives, I think it's nice to see a person on the show that isn't a trained entertainer or used to the public life or from different industries. I actually find the singers and dancers like the girl from pussycat dolls or spice girls boring and obvious. Bristol has progressed well during this season and is far from pro, but I would take her over Kate Gosselin any day of the week.

I was single when I had my daughter- and I was a damn good first time Mom. I was proud of the way I grew up fast and took care of my daughter.

The timezone thing was pointed out three minutes after she posted. When was the last time you started a thread and didn't hang out to see the responses? You're right ... maybe she didn't know how to change the title and in that case maybe she should have said "Sorry! I didn't know how to change the title!" instead of getting all snarky about how the people she spoiled shouldn't look at other media.

I don't think she intended to spoil the show but she did and my issue with it is that she doesn't seem care that she did.

No,I did not intend to spoil it for others. No,I didn't hang around to see other people's responses. No, it did not cross my mind about different time zones until I read it here on the board. No, I didn't know I was supposed to ask how to change the title in my thread. No, I am not a smartalec. But don't accuse me of intentionally ruining it for you. It's in the media, on message boards, etc. I was in the heat of the moment of watching the results on the show.

Thank-you to those who 'stuck up' for me. It's crazy that I actually feel 'bullied' from other posters who attacked me and accused me of purposely posting the results from a TV show.

**I apologize to everyone if I ruined the outcome of the show for you!**

as well you should be!

that is very different than being proud that you got pregnant out of wedlock as a teen.

don't sweat it - not that big a deal - you know it hit the air as soon as it happened. There eas no avoiding unless you stayed off all media!!!!:)

I am sure you promise not to make that mistake again!:rotfl:

I just want to say, my family had our mouths dropped just like Derek did last night. And Derek is friends with Mark. My husband has been wanting ABC to step in and get her off. Bristol has improved on her dancing, but she is nowhere near the capability of Brandy. Obviously, this season is about popularity, not the ability to dance. Just imagine if she takes it all. :sad2: My family will continue to vote for Kyle. :thumbsup2

Well, now you know.

You didn't ruin it for me, but it's nice of you to say this.

Why do you think she is proud of that? Did she say so in an interview or something? I'm not being snarky....

geeez - keep twisting - go back and read what I wrote....never said she did.....

people if you can't read or keep up....or never mind:lmao:
