Bringing laundry detergent on vacation

We're staying at the BC for 7 nights. I'de like to do laundry on day 3 or 4. If I don't want to take detergent will I be able to buy small boxes or tablets out of a machine in the laundry room?

Look at the freebies thread ...

I have gotten free samples of laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets for our trip.

Very convenient as they come in one load packaging.

I always do laundry on my trip to cut down on packing. Just so I can bring back extra souveniers. I agree with Java's earlier post. I purchased the travel size of Tide at Target. It doesn't spill out, and you can even take two if you need it, or put Downy in it. I just put it in a plastic zip lock. No problems at the airport. I have found Target to have the biggest selection of travel size items. Disney bound in May!!! :cool1:  :cheer2:

Thanks everyone for the tips. Next time I'm near a CVS I'll check their travel stuff, and I'll check Target next time I'm in the city. We're in a rural area (which I usually love) but there's some disadvantages...like shopping! Why do all the detergent people make 30 kinds of scented detergent in both liquid and powdered forms, but if you try to find an unscented powder, you have to hunt in several towns???
