How do you want to play the tours? Do you want to arrange a meeting place for all the people doing tours and just go from there or arrange a day and time to turn up at your room or just get people to contact you directly if they want to tour? I dont know how many people will do the tours so its down to you who have volunteered how you would like to play it?

On the list, I thought it had gotten cleaned up, but I'm listed as gottatravel, but it's got2travel. And we don't have a Cat 11 anymore, it's a GTY 12, should be gettting assigned any day now.

For the birthdays, can you add my mom, Juanita, Aug 1. My son is not able to go on the cruse now, so I'm taking my mom for her birthday.

Sorry about the name mistake. I have updated it to show the correct name. I have added your mothers birthday as well.

Does anyone know when we will find out what Disney plans? Picking something totally out of the air how about the 2nd sea day at 2 at my cabin to start...when we have all the room numbers we can do it by deck and then find the ice cream.

I was on the eastbound Transatlantic Crossing in May and, oops, did not pick up one of the rhinestone trimmed black & white tote bags with the word "Barcelona" on it before they sold out. I wanted it for the friend who watched my kitties while I was gone.
If anyone sees one on your cruise, would you be willing to pick it up for me? Since I live only an hour or so from the Port, I can meet you after you get back.

for those of us who used disney air when do we find out about our flights?
they sent me a paper a couple of months ago saying when i will be able to see our flights but i cant find that paper anywhere. i was thinking it was at the the 45 day mark which should be now.

For those of you who were on the eastbound. I have a question about the port and address. I am trying to map out the best route to the fountain, but I am unclear of which subway line it closest to the port. Can anyone be of assistance here?

Dee, there was a posting earlier where someone posted an image of where the ship docks and where the shuttle goes: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=19064902&postcount=34 Bear left at the traffic circle up by the shuttle stop and walk several blocks up Av. Paral.lel (it's the horizontal street at the top of the image) to the metro station, approximately 0.55 km (0.3 miles) according to the map. Placa Espanya is about another 2 km (1.25 miles) up that street. The green line (metro) goes to Placa Espanya, and it looks like bus #57 and #157 stop there as well. A friend gave us their bus map, talk about a nightmare to decipher it....

I just looked at my map--can't find my good one grrrrr. The shuttle drops you off at the Columbus Statue. It appears as if the nearest Metro stop is on the Ramblas, not far--5 minutes, near the wax museum. The Ramblas is easy to find and easy to ask for. It is where all the life is!

The station is called Drassenes. You want to end at the Espanya metro station, where you will exit and walk to the columns, which are so close they may bite you! !

Use the metro maps. Choose the last destination on the line for the direction, but I'm sure you knew that! Where the lines cross is where you can change trains! (Don't know where/if you will have to change trains.) It's easy to see on the maps. very simple.

I'm pretty sure it's Placa de Catalunya at the end of the Ramblas and about a mile away, not Placa Espanya. The fountains are near Placa de Espanya, further away.

GOOGLE PHOTO OF THE DOCK AREA

The circle next to the shuttle stop is Placa de les Drassanes. Just at the top of the map is Placa del Portal de la Pau, where the Columbus statue is located at the base of the Ramblas. The two streets intersect at the two plazas at about a 45 degree angle. Av. Paral.lel starts at Pl. Drassanes and goes horizontally (if you reference the picture) towards the right to Placa Espanya. The Ramblas starts at the Columbus statue and goes diagonally north and west according to the map and ends at Plaza Catalunya.

You can catch the bus at Pl. Drassanes, but make sure you take the correct bus, as there are six different routes there. #57 and #157 take you to the Plaza. #20, 36, 64, and 91 go somewhere else.

I love maps, but boy, I don't love the bus route map.

Hi,

I am would prefer to have a specific time and date for the room tours - maybe as suggested a couple a day depending on numbers. On the Panama I think someone in a Cat 3 managed to arrange nibbles via concierge, dont mind giving it a go once we are on board.
Also, a specific time means i only have to tidy up once!!
