Linda, what is REALLY pathetic is that I never really finished unpacking from the EB. In fact, the skirt I am wearing today, I pulled out of my luggage. Now that's bad! (Lest anyone wonder, and you will notice, I only bring skirts that are SUPPOSED to look wrinkled--I'm on vacation--no ironing!)

Is anyone taking up the plans for a ladies only brunch or dinner at Palo's???
or any outing to Palo's for that matter??

I have 9 year old - Jessica who would love to chat on e-mail with another girl her age. She did this prior to our Christmas Cruise and made a wonderful friend. In fact we are still in contact and they just came up from Connecticut to visit us last week.

She is hoping for some e-mails -

We will be away at WDW for 3 weeks starting next Saturday.

Not for the faint of heart...I started dragging stuff out today...just to check and see what I still needed to get... ...it would seem more luggage for a starter... ...dining room is a mess.

So did I. Told the kids to start putting together outfits for my approval, told DH he is not allowed to bring any of his ratty T-shirts or I'll pitch them overboard. Put together the toiletries and the laundry stuff. Started the "need to buy" list. I DON'T want to be doing this the weekend before we leave!! Plus I want the opportunity to cull from the pile before I do the final packing.

43 days from now I'm leaving for Barcelona!

Hello to everyone.

We too will be joining you on the transatlantic return-home cruise. We live near Toronto Canada and this will be our 5th DCL cruise. We were on the 7 day western in March 2006 and on the 10 day Christmas Cruise, in Dec 2006. We had both another eastern and western before that.

This time however it is just myself; Denise (almost 40), my dd Jessica (just turning 9) and my dd Kimberly (age 5 going on 18). My dh could not get the time off from work and is giving this trip to me as a 40th birthday present.

My DD 9 wants me to let her sign herself out of the club on her own, - I am having trouble with this idea.... I never leave my kids alone anywhere not even outside the front of my house...

I would be very interested in participating in any of the group Palo activities as I would otherwise not be able to go to Palo this time, and I missed the DIS lunch at Palo in December.

If whoever is signing up for lanyards, bracelets, count the three of us in.

We are excited, however we are leaving for WDW on July 7, 2007 for three weeks (this was planned pre -cruise and DH still wants to go) So I need to get packing - Haven't done a thing yet

Hope to meet everyone soon.

Is Thistle still going??? she was on the Dec. 2006 10 day??

Dif subject: Aren't DizneyDAnn and DisneyAuntieX11 with the same 'family' group? When reading through the posts, why am I thinking they each ordered lanyards for their group? Maybe I read it wrong, but it seemed that way? Or am I having a blond moment, lol?

One more thing: On the Fish Extender list, one of my rooms has a typo. It says 5122, but it should be 6122. Thanx!

Between you and Nancy doesn't that cover 100 of them? Next time the two of you should book together and get the group rate. Seriously.

About the ADA rooms...the reason they book full on the popular cruises is some people that don't need them book them for the space thinking Disney will bump them if needed. I found out from someone that works at DCL that this is not true since ADA does not require you divulge the nature of your disability and DCL cannot ask.

Has anyone thought of doing a tee for the girls meet? Just curious since little girls seem to like "clubs" and socials.

OK so LINDA BELL (Cat6), GOINGSOUTH - (NOT YET CONFIRMED) (Cat7), SMORES (Cat3ADA), LORRAINE (Cat3), GO TRAVEL (Cat12) have agreed to do room tours. The idea was that it would be at 2ish on a sea day but would you guys rather the people who want to tour contact you and arrange details or shall we arrange a meeting place at a set time for everyone and you can go from there? I dont want people to be hanging around in their rooms waiting for people if not many will come.

Up to you what you want to do?

What is a Fish extender thing??? Never heard of it - So I feel I cannot agree to participate, who knows what I would be getting myself into LOL

Is it too late to sign up for lanyards?? I saw that whoever was ordering them was almost at the max.

The X-mas Cruise was very memorable. We had a blast. We did a DIS ornament exchange and had a DIS meet. We tried to get a ladies night organized, but it fell by the wayside with all the activities. I have a group picture somewhere of all the DIS's that participated in the ornament exchange.

What are your thoughts on a just 9 year old signing out of the club?? I am not very comfortable with the idea. but my dd is begging me to let her do it. Any advice?? I told her I have to feel good about it and how would I know where she was?? Here it is against the Criminal Code to leave children under the age of 10 unsupervised. I just don't know if I can bring myself to do it. She is responsible etc. but I would be an anxious mess the entire time.

Trying to pack for my trip to Florida next Saturday. It's a holiday here - we had Canada Day yesterday so today is a Stat Holiday.

What is the Navigator list?? is that the list you are all keeping for DIS cruisers??

The navigator list is the list of DIS cruisers for the mini navigator that you will all be getting from the Disboard when you sail. Im currently putting it together. It is the same idea as the one you get from Disney but smaller and contains all the Dis Activities and special events etc. Also has a list of rooms so that people know where their fellow dissers are.

What is a Fish extender thing??? Never heard of it - So I feel I cannot agree to participate, who knows what I would be getting myself into LOL

It is a material door tidy I guess is the easiest way to describe it. There is a photo of one of them on here somewhere. Basically it hangs from the fish hook outside your stateroom door and has pockets in it so that people can leave you little presents. If you dont have one you could use a bag or something similar for presents? Lots of people make their own but I believe Walmart sells similar occaisonally.

We have an older child than yours (12) and we were uncomfortable letting her sign herself out at first but the Pagers they give to all parents with kids in the kids clubs were great. When she was leaving one area to return to us or go to somewhere else on the ship we would receive a message to keep us informed.
