Hi, happy to participate in buying lanyards.

i like the disney colors but lime green is fine with me.

some ideas for the wording are below. my only real preference is that we not put "again" in it. This excludes many of us from being able to by the t-shirts and i would hate to do that again with the lanyards!!

I'm back from Las Vegas. We had a great time.

Had a "mini-meet" w/Todd (DisneyVegas1) - he & his family are simply the BEST!!!

Okay Update:
Today I faxed DCL Inventory Control w/a request for the Palo private room for 14 Ladies - on Aug. 25 for Brunch and Aug. 27 for Afternoon Tea. (those are both sea days) BTW - 14 is the max. for the room.
They will inform me at 30 days out whether they will accomodate the request.

So far the list includes: (me!)

Julie (bellelinus), Sue (happyfeet), Linda (momma4v3),Charmaine & daughter (kugabelle), Monica (got2travel), Laura (eeyorelvr10), (KaseyC), Joan (joanflo), (robsmom)

Have I missed anyone?? I quickly scanned back - but "quickly" is the operative so I might have missed someone!!

That's 11 so far and I don't know who prefers the brunch - or the tea - or both. I want to do both!!

Ignore what I said there are none for this cruise unless someone volunteers unfortunately. I did look on the web but they were really expensive and you had to order in batches of 100.

We took one of their tours in Berlin, and it was great - native English speakers, all the sights, lots of fun, and no great biking skill necessary.

So - the plan is - 9 AM Sunday morning (less traffic?). They have adult bikes, bikes for children, and bike seats for kids who ride with parents. The general tour is on their website. I have posted on another site, and some of you responded there

Let me know if you are interested. It is 20 euro per person and lasts 4 hours. Includes the bike - which are easy ride cruiser bikes, with both hand and foot brakes, and a few gears. The starting point is near the Barcelona Cahthedra which is not that far from the ship.

It's a little lime-green, mickey-shaped magnet, with DIS names and stateroom numbers on it, that mysteriously finds its way to each stateroom door on the list. If you get it, you're it, and your job is to tag someone else's door.
Considering how many of us there are, we will have to have more than one magnet. Each magnet has an "in case I'm lost, please return to stateroom # <xxxx>" line on it.
Only people who want to participate need share their stateroom #. We never put names on the magnets, just your DIS name (e.g. Dee47 -- 1234 [not my actual #, but you get the idea]).
It's a fun little game.

This is another version that was mentioned that involves bringing 1 bag of gifts and placing this on the next person you tags door but I think this version was dismissed (if not let me know)

Don't worry - DisneyVegas - T-Shirts have been designed - though I would love to get more suggestions.

Also - Mel's husband - Bob - has a company that does t-shirts for him - so he is pretty confident that he can get them at cost
Dining - we don't need any help getting that organized - not with Mel -Bmwdsny on board - this will be her 3rd. time doing it - and she has a great relationship with DCL dining.

Are there any other single/solo parents ?
Thought it would be nice to meet others that might be cruising alone with their kids,or grandkids,nieces/nephews who would like to match up for PALO RESSIES,wine tastings,

i'm thinking of making "fish extenders". . .if i can find some cute disney fabric. . .does anybody want/need one?

So far I haven't found anything updating this list of things going on on here but will keep you posted as I trawl through the rest by updating this post (saves reposting it). Don't know how up to date any of this is as I still have 20 pages to read through but hope this helps

If you have any ideas of activities you'd like to organize, please feel free to jump on it. Through various reason, there really has not been much planning going on for this cruise. The thread actually died down for a while. But now with the great pricing many more people are planning on joining - WELCOME.

There were ideas tossed around in the past, but other than the bike tour in Barcelona and the ladies brunch/tea, nothing more has been confirmed.

Right now we are working on:

Ladies Tea and or brunch

Social for 10-12 year old girls

Lanyards or wrist bands. Look like the masses are leaning toward lanyards.

A meet...to be determined.

A group gathering to do the fountains in Barcelona on Saturday night.

Welcome. We will be flying out of Philly on the 17th, how about you. If you have not booked your airfare, there is a great web site to get awesome deals. We are on Lufthansa and it was 1/3 of their web price.

You are correct!!

I faxed DCL Inventory Control and requested Palo's private room for 8/25 - for a Ladies Brunch - I also requested the room on 8/27 for a Ladies Afternoon Tea. If the responses exceed the 14 max. for the room I will request the room for an additional sea day.

We too are joining this Cruise, the price of the Cat 12 GTY was too good to pass up. Will be traveling with my DH, DD (10), DS (8). Also being joined by my DMIL & DSIL in another Cat 12 GTY.

I only have had a chance to read the last few pages of this thread and have a lot of reading and research to catch up on. Did notice someone posted about playing Bunco on sea days. Sounds fun to me. My DH & DMIL might also be interested.

Hi -
I just got off the phone w/DCL rep regarding our request. This is the first time I've attempted this - so its a learniing experience.

1st: they do Not provide the private room for Afternoon Tea - what she suggested was that on embarkation day - a couple of us go to Palo's and see if we can get ressies for 2 adjacent tables on whichever day we want.

2nd: Only 1 Brunch per person per cruise - thus I cannot request a 2nd brunch day - The latest count is 12 for brunch (and 12 is the mnimum to reserve the room/ 14 maX) - so I can add only 2 more for 8/25

3rd: There is no guarantee that our request will be approved - they review all requests 30 days out and then will notify me.

If - more want to join - once the # reaches 12 - another fax can be sent to Inv. Control w/the names of those wanting ressies and the date reuested.

Whew!!!! I hope that makes sense to you all!!

Okay - will those of you who wanted to have brunch PM me - I need to fax in your full names to DCL.
