I am having my doubts about this cruise... :sad2:
Not sure if I will be able to handle sailing across the Atlantic!! Please send some Pixie Dust my way that I will have a smooth sailing in two weeks to Bermuda. If it is rough, I may totally chicken out!! :teeth: I keep thinking there has to be a reason other lines don't sail until late Oct. or Nov... Hurricanes!!

It's a piece of cake! Our Ancestors did it, and we have one advantage over them DRAMAMINE!

j

And PALO! ...and the fact that we do in six days what once took three months! It will be ok, we will sail around any hurricanes.

On the other hand, I am gaining hope that I will be able to rebook this repo when I am onboard in December 06. The Cat 6 prices have only gone up $100/pp while cat 11 hasn't changed. If I can rebook and get the 10% discount plus the onboard credit from DCL I will be in heaven!! I didn't make a booking while onboard in Jan. because I was waiting for the Med and figured it wouldn't apply being a special sailing. Of course now I know it does! :guilty:

We have thought about this too. We sail in October and could rebook the Med. cruise with a discount and onboard credit. We had a cat. 10 which has not gone up in price since we booked! We shall see, but for now we have cancelled the Med. cruise.

Myself and another Vancouver DISer were thinking about a DISmeet in August. I know there were a few of you in the Seattle area that got together and we would like to find somewhere that maybe everyone would want to meet at. Do you have any ideas of a good half way point that we could have a DISmeet at?
I'm not sure you are from Vancouver as it says Portland, Oregon in your sign-on but thought I'd take a chance anyway. We are anxiously awaiting bringing the Magic home next August (even though my DH is convinced if the terriosts want to hit us where it would really hurt it would be to do something to our famous icon -The Magic
next summer while it is in the Med - I'll worry about that next Summer) but this summer we are vacationing in Canada for 5 weeks. I am in Calgary right now (on my lap-top) and we are going to Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Whistler, Vancouver, and Victoria so my question to you wonderful Canadians - any great restaurants in Vancouver or Victoria we shouldn't miss?? I hate driving around there as we are in our RV so thought we'd park it at the RV campground and just take the Landsea tour of Vancouver City Highlights and then the North Shore Mountain Tour. If you have any other suggestions of things we should see or do please share. We will be in Vancouver for 2 days and then 2 days in Victoria before taking the BC Ferry to Port Angeles in Washington. Thanks for any "info" you might be able to share.

There is a Vancouver, WA. It's very close to Portland OR.

When I go up to Vancouver, BC (fairly often), I like going to La Bretagne Creperie, off of Robson. Also, Death by Chocolate, which has amazing creations. It's on Burard and...I'll have to look it up! Close to Robson, at any rate. There's also a great Greek restaurant on Robson, but for the life of me I can't remember the name. I know how to get there on foot, though! :confused3 :confused3

Sorry can't help you but you may want to post on the Canadian Boards!

They'll be able to tell you.

Here's the Death by Chocolate web site. Really, it's an experience.

And yeah, chocolate is my other addiction (the first being Disney, of course!) :teeth:

Another day closer!

Grad Day for DD!

Let the Games Begin!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Janet, tell your DD congrats on her graduation! Now she can go off to college, choose a career, become a full-time worker & pay for MANY MANY of her own Disney cruises. Aaaaawwwww gets you all choked up, doesn't it?....Wait, that means you'll have more money for your OWN souvenirs! Yahoo!

Dee, that Death by Chocolate website had me drooling. Oh my. I'm thinking that I've done enough damage with chocolate lately. My friend just came back from a trip to her cabin in Canada. I gave her $10 to buy me a bunch of Nestle "Smarties" while she was there. They're like my favorite candy in the whole world! Why don't we have them in the U.S? Dang it! Funny thing is, I can buy them at the Canadian Pavillion at Epcot...but they're $2.50 a box! That's robbery!

Hope you're all having a good week so far.

Catch ya later,
Erica J.

Hi, I was on the westbound Panama Canal last summer and saw all of the people who talked online together before the cruise. It looked like you all had a great time. I'm a single Mom with 14 & 18 yr. old sons, we can't wait for this cruise next summer!!
This is my 1st post, I'm so glad someone started it.

Guess he's too young for your boys, but maybe the single moms (you, me, Janet...) can get together and do...something? Ladies Night at the SPA??????? Or all the ladies can do something, regardless of attachment status! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hey, any single guys going on this cruise??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
