Whispering Canyon Cafe or Boma
And it was a gigantic bang for the buck when it was 40% off for passholders!Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness lodge is probably the best bank for the buck…for 45.00 you get a full skillet with a ton of food and it’s all you care to eat….will be there in a few weeks can’t wait !!
Fair enough and no disrespect. The boss and I have had the opportunity to eat there for our 25th and 30th anniversary, and it makes her smile. Whatever makes her smile its what I consider worth it. But the great thing about financial transactions is that the buyer sets the price, not the seller afterall. We find the product worth it, as many others do, so we pay the price. Others do not so they do not pay the asked price. Its all good. We'll agree to disagree. There's no scenario where I would see spending at least $750 to feed two people as reasonable value.
We have done the Beaches and Cream Kitchen Sink and it was absolutely worth its legendary status purely for the hilarity value of watching my then 5 year old son eat ice cream like his life would forever depend on it - but having just stayed at the Dolphin, I second the plug for the Fountain! They had a really wide range of choices and less intense vibe - easy to walk-up and grab a spot, or grab and go with something decadent, at least when we were there.I find it difficult to recommend Beaches and Cream when a very short walk away, you can go to the Fountain - which is a little cheaper all around and at least in my opinion, better quality burgers, fries, and shakes - plus a good selection of other sandwiches.

So true! B&C when it first opened was really good. Somewhere along the way though they went downhill to just ordinary. We used to love their burgers. Now they are just ho hum. But the Smash Burger at Dolphin Fountain is much better.I find it difficult to recommend Beaches and Cream when a very short walk away, you can go to the Fountain - which is a little cheaper all around and at least in my opinion, better quality burgers, fries, and shakes - plus a good selection of other sandwiches.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a great time, but I wouldn't consider it a value option. We'll agree to disagree. There's no scenario where I would see spending at least $750 to feed two people as reasonable value.
I could have written this myself and totally concur with all of these restaurants. I would add that Steakhouse 71 is very reasonable and delicious for lunch if you are just looking for a burger/salad etc. It is actually kind of cheap by Disney standards. Sebastians is waySteakhouse 71 if you want a steak. The quality is pretty good considering you get a steak and a side for under $40.
Sebastian's Bistro offers sodas, rolls, salad, a 4 entree platter with sides, and dessert for $39 per person.
Wine Bar George's lunch and brunch menu are great, and the portions are big for the prices. Dinner is very good too, but the menu is mostly small plates with a few more expensive entrees.
In the parks, Diamond Horseshoe for $45 per person and Biergarten for $49 per person are decent deals. 50's Prime Time offers good value for their plate sizes, but the food isn't my favorite. Jungle Skipper Canteen is the one non-signature, table service restaurant I make a point to go to in the parks.
