Ahhhh now I have missed out on the lanyards! I have sent a PM asking for some if thy are available but boy this is a reminder not to leave the boards for very long or you miss out!

I have not had any response but was checking again if there was any interest at all of doing a little gift exchange via mail (especially for the kids) before we set sail. I did one for the repo and it was so much fun to receive an inexpensive gift from another cruiser with fun little items in it. I would be willing to organize and partner up the kids or adults if there was any interest???? :woohoo:

Let me know
Pauline Clare

Pauline you didn't miss out on lanyards. I don't think they've been ordered yet. We've just settled on colors and wording.

As for a gift exchange I think it would be fun. Count me in for 1 adult and 1 11yr old boy.

I have searched DCL's website and can not find the tipping guide. Since we downgraded our prepaid tips went bye bye so I need to budget for them, but do not know where to find the info.

ANyone know where or how much.

Thanks

From what I was told, you can call the cruiseline and ask them to charge prepaid gratuities at any time.

From what I remember about the PC cruise, it came to right around $11 per person, per day. I found this list for 7 night cruises, so I guess it would be doubled for our cruise. This comes to $10.75 per day, which sounds about right because the Dining Manager is not included.

Seven-night cruise:
Dining Room Server $25.75
Dining Room Asst. Server $18.75
Dining Room Head Server $ 6.50
Stateroom Host/Hostess $25.25

On all cruises Dining Manager and Room Service tipping is at the passenger's discretion.

Total: $75.25
Double for 14 days: $150.50

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but it should be at least pretty close.

:tinker:

Hurray, Sarah!!! You're the best. I'll still comb through and make sure we got everything--4 eyes are better than two, right? And everyone else do the same, okay. Really, this will make it all more fun on the cruise.

What do you all think of a fish extender contest? Funniest, intentially ugliest, best Disney theme and such. I'll head that one up, but I'd like to recruit some other "judges" There will be PRIZES!!!!

I could have a go at a navagator for the board if you like? Not sure how to get them delivered though. I would need someone to pass me the info for it and some idea of how many etc?

I'm so glad everyone is joining in and getting excited about making this fun! I had another idea that I read on another thread. If it is too much, please say.

They were talking about having a Disney Tie night where even the women wear Disney Ties. We could have our pictures taken together. I know they had a jammie beakfast with pictures on the EB, but I snoozed through that. The time changes and dancing all nught just got too me after awhile, so I'm not promoting that, but just saying it's been done.

Also, there was a HUGE group picture taken on pirate night. I think we met in the atrium at 7:30 or 7:45. The ship photographer was there. I actually bought that one. We looked great! I'd be willing to remind people of this and set up the photographer if anyone wants to do this. Caution, dinner for first seating ran slow that night and a few hadn't had dessert before the picture, but I do know youcan go back, and if you are time crunched, they give it to you to go.

I'm seriously not tryig to "relive" a past experience, because that is impossible, and we can do new and fun things (like extender contest and maybe tie night) that will make our cruise unique. I am just suggesting things in case they sound fun to someone.

I missed the breakfast as well because it was too early but the photo was cool and I brought it as well. Maybe we could have one earlier in the day?
I did think it was a nice reminder of everyone we met on the cruise.

Lindsay

Where did all the people come from?!:thumbsup2 It's so good to see 'ya all.

Anyone interested in a room tour on a sea day? I would love to see what the other catagories look like. I'm in an ADA (handicapped) cat 6 with a huge deck. I promise to pick my socks up before you arrive.

Linda too...

Can we do a tour of Cats 1-3?? LOL.
