We are bringing friends with us to disney world this spring break. My husband and I are DVC members and bring our 2 boys 15 and 7 every year. Since we have been several times, we sort of have a "pace" and have figured out what we like best. We have to slow down and change how we "do" disney. Our friends have never been to DW as a family (my friend went with her parents many years ago.) They have two children a girl 6 and boy 2 3/4.

I have talked to my family and they are totally open with changing the pace - we want our friends to have a wonderful disney experience. We will see more shows and more of the "kiddy" stuff. (my 7 year old can go either way - he always wants to keep pace with his older brother so we usually skip the younger stuff)

I dont have a lot of money to work with, but I have been purchasing things to send to the kids from their "fairy Godmother" such as disney backpacks filled with disney stuff from the dollar isle at target.

I have also collected glow necklaces for the parks. What other things can I do to help our friends feel AT HOME the way we do when we go "home"

thanks!

we threw a 35 days until disney party - with banner and gifts. inexpensive things I picked up from target over time, backpacks, beachtowls and disney items from the dollar isle.

everyone is very excited !

Enjoy your visit, I'm sure your friends will too! The party was a great idea!

Does your friend like to scrapbook? You could get her some fun Disney stickers and stuff for that. You could also make them a memory box too. I did that for all the kids in our family for our upcoming trip out of shoe boxes. I got red and yellow flannel, Mickey colored trims and a 4X6 photo matte. Grab the hot glue gun and get creative. Put the matte(covered in the same color fabric as the top) on the top of the box glued on only three sides so they can put a family picture of their trip in it. You could put a picture of the castle or something like that for now.

Don't forget to pick a couple of good character meals. With 2 little ones they will love being able to see their favorite characters.
