Bring us a Shrubbery!! May 25-June 1, 2007!!

Can I come, too? ;)

Maybe...

I'm going to try to post a few pictures along with some fabulous and enthralling background information...but first I'm off to the spa for a facial and then I must watch four hours of figure skating.

You will all be continuously amazed by the effortless levels of dorkiness we achieve at our house...mostly me, but Jay has his moments, too! ;)

Alright, now I am hooked on this one! The chef's table dinner sounds wonderful. You will definitely have to let us all know how it goes. I've been to a chef's table luncheon once, with a women's group, when we were stationed in Okinawa. It was so much fun, but I would love to do one with just my DH and me.....and that scrumptious food!

I am officially living vicariously through you!

I just finished reading your trip report and I saw the pictures of Plankton!! :lmao: I will not be allowing the boys to view the picture of Plankton with the washcloth floozy, as that could scar them for life!

Paige, thanks for stopping by to check out the pre-tip! If you and your hubby aren't able to land the CT you should try for Victoria & Albert's dining room some time. It's expensive but a wonderful wonderful experince - you'd love it!

If you think that picture is bad just wait until you see some of the stuff ol' Plankton gets up to later in the week. :lmao:

Thanks for taking a look at the other trippie - I love it when people read me. I love it even more when they let me know that they read me!! ;)

Hi Brenda - I think this is the first post I've had on one of your threads...but I'm a long time lurker. I LOVE your style - got hooked on the dining review and have read through the rest quickly and enjoyed all of them. DH, DS and I are looking forward to booking a 4 night cruise in November and DH sends his eternal thanks to you for the naughty couples mud treatment idea, after we pack DS off to happily camp out at the Oceaneer's Club. ;)

My best friend's daughter (3 next week!) is a huge fan of The Simpsons and everytime she mentions "the birds!" as she calls them, I am reminded of your reviews and TR's and it makes me grin as I count the days to my next trip.

Anyway, I thought it was a wee bit creepy that I feel like I "know" you better than I know some people in real life and have never posted, so I have decided to post and officially lose my "oybolshoi stalker" status.

Thanks for all the entertainment!

Hi, MApigletfan - haven't seen you around lately...everything OK up there on the East coast? I definitely think you should consider a trippie of your own.

And just so you know - when I get to the appropriate day in my current report, I will have lots of pictures of the Steam Train Tour to give you an idea of what's involved in it before you do the nice thing and book it for your DBF.
Oh yes, i am here..been a' lurkin rest assured!
YAY..can't wait to see steam train tour pics on the other report...i booked the tour last week actually, i figured if i waited longer and couldn't get spots that i would never hear the end of it!!

I wondered why Argle Bargle and The Grimace weren't being completed....then I found this! popcorn::

I only opened this because I could, right now, from memory, write out the entire Holy Hand Grenade sequence here in this post. But I won't. You all probably know it anyway.

I don't know if that Plankton's sign is still there. A lot of PI was just torn down and replaced with a bridge you know.

1) The naughty mud treatment for two is wonderful - I hope you and your Dh enjoy it as much as Jay and I did. If it gets too warm in the steam room, don't be afraid to prop the door to the sitting area open to give yourselves some cooler air - it can get very warm in there!

2) Wow...my first groupie! First of all thanks so much for the compliment of reading me - I do tend to wordiness so I know that reading my stuff can take up some time. Secondly, I'm happy to know I could provide some entertainment - that really makes me feel good.

3) Feel free to post as much as you want and I'll do my best to keep it interesting around here.

Thanks again for posting! :goodvibes

Glad to hear you're taking the tour - your DBF is really going to enjoy it. I even enjoyed it and trains don't really do much for me. BTW - you will both receive a nifty special pin at the end of the session. You can only get it by taking the tour (or I suppose by purchasing it on EBAY if someone were to sell theirs).

I wondered why Argle Bargle and The Grimace weren't being completed....then I found this! popcorn::

Never fear - the Argie-Bargie is being updated. I had to take a break to watch the World Figure Skating Championships and revive my brain. Thanks for stopping in and posting! :goodvibes

I wouldn't object to that at all - I love the Holy Hand Grenade! Actually I just love the entire movie...can't get enough of it. And since we're going to the Flower and Garden Festival it seemed like a good title for a trip report.

Thanks for the heads up on Plankton's sign...we'll look for it anyway, but it's nice to know that we may be embarking on an exercise in futility (just like my job!).

Thanks everyone for stopping in to say hello! :goodvibes

Okay just for you. I did not Google this. I have a book of the script that I got in London in my bookcase and it has not left the bookcase.

And St. Atilla raised the hand grenade on high saying, Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayest blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy....And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs, and stoats, and pomegranates (?) and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats and...

(Skip a bit, Brother.)

And the Lord did speak, saying, First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. Three is the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. Four, shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceedest to three. Five is right out.

Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch toward thy foe, who, having been naughty in my sight, shalt snuff it.

Here endeth the lesson.

I'll ask you the same thing I asked Crystal.....

Is 18 months too soon to start a pre-trippie? :rotfl2:

Seriously, I am looking forward to this one.

Well, I suppose before this gets too far along an introduction of sorts would be appropriate.

Oybolshoi - Brenda...37 going on 12 or 72, depending on the day; I love to plan me a vacation or twenty, and I love to write - in that way I escape from the sad knowledge that in the real world I toil for the soulless dominions of finance. I don't know how it happened...one day I was trying to get a job in the publishing industry and the next thing I knew I was working in commercial underwriting...it's a stinky mystery - like headcheese.

I like to think of myself as good-humored, flexible, and relatively intelligent. The world at large usually thinks I'm high strung, impatient, and at least smarter than a hamster.

DH - Jason, will turn 37 in May, just 15 days before we arrive at WDW. I've already informed him that in addition to the obligatory "Happy Anniversary" button he will be sporting on this trip, he will be wearing a birthday button, too. These future fashion accessories excite him almost as much as the prospect of attending the World Figure Skating Championships in Los Angeles with me in 2009.

The most laid back husband, ever. Responds to my vacation inquiries with, "Whatever you want," or "I can do that." Super-intelligent, handsome, musically gifted Simpsons addict...his brain is crammed with cartoon quotes. He never complains about the ridiculous amount of luggage he has to carry for the two of us and puts up with me, which should have earned him a medal or a lifelong sainthood award by now.

Here's a picture of us on our last Disney cruise - I chose this because we had to cancel the cruise we had scheduled for this October and I'm still very sad about that. This picture makes me both happy and sad. What can I say...I'm a paradox. Or...the two of us are a pairofdorks!!! :lmao: :lmao:

Warning - if you don't enjoy puns or self-mockery, you're probably going to want to bail on the trippie right now because it's only going to get worse from this point on. That's a promise!

We don't have children...some days I think it's probably better that way, and some days I wonder what it would have been like to have a small demented version of Jay and me wandering around the house. For the most part I'm philosophical about it - things happen for a reason and between Crohns Disease and Endometriosis my reproductive system has apparently decided that it's best to stop the genetic madness with me. When I consider some of the people I'm related to, I don't think that this is such a bad idea. ;)

Jay and I do have a baby, though. His name is Handsome Pete and he is the smartest cat-dog we've ever come across. He's an orange tabby - the vet told us that this is typically one of the friendliest breeds of cat available to mankind, and I don't doubt it. When the doorbell rings at our house Pete is there before Jay or me. He never hides when we have people over, not even when my mom is around. He also has dog-like tendencies - he plays fetch, he chews on things, and he comes running whenever we call his name.

Pete's been our baby for 6 years - we adopted him when he was only 6 months old. He's a great cat, but he doesn't like it when we travel.

Jay and I also have a vacation mascot...he needs no introduction, or does he?

I'm not talking about the antenna ball. ;)

Sheldon J. Plankton has plans for Walt Disney World. Oh yes indeedy doody.

Not fair!!! It's too sad to see a pic of y'all in the stateroom!

I have a pretty laidback husband as well. Don't they have to be, since they are married to such Disney addicts? Rob has just learned to say yes to almost everything and shake his head when he thinks I am crazy, which is much of the time.

Just last night I was telling him "Dis-stuff" and he usually let's it go in one ear and out the other, but when I mentioned Monty Python, he perked up his ears. He said, "They sound a lot like us!" Of course when I told him that y'all were not able to join us in October, he looked at me like, "Why did you lift my spirits by making me think I would have a friend?" I was very amused by this.:rotfl:

He ( and my DD13 and DS11 ) love Monty Python! He hasn't let them see everything, but when they start quoting the ones they have seen, I just think it is so funny.

Sorry to go off on a tangent....keep writing and let us know what you plan. You're doing a lot of things that we haven't been able to do yet, so I am very interested. I won't be back in WDW until 08 (our first time in a DVC) so they have time to make lots of improvements--not that they need any. In fact, I can only think of one--they need to hire my husband in 4 years. If they do that, you and I will maybe finally get to meet face to face!:)

Does Handsome Pete know he didn't make an appearance until page 3?

What IS it with cats and suitcases, anyway?

I used to write that out in longhand whenever I got bored in college lectures years ago.

That's too funny - I used to write out scenes from Airplane and Young Frankenstein. :lmao:

I'll ask you the same thing I asked Crystal.....

Erica, someone as gifted with humor and language skills as you should have no problems starting a pre-trippie 18 months from sail date. I'd subscribe as soon as it was posted!

So what are you waiting for? :thumbsup2

Hi Paige ... sorry to disappoint the DH. Our sense of humor will be with you in spirit...does that help? And I've heard rumblings of a possible Plankton-snatch so he might show up unexpectedly on the cruise. ;)

I'll try to take some extra pics of SSR for you when we're there in May.
