Bring entire wallet?

I know I'll need credit card, ID...but should I bring my entire wallet with all my extra junk? I have a little thing to put tickets and stuff in. I wouldn't carry the wallet around the parks and leave it in the safe... However the first day if our room isn't ready in the morning we're just heading to the park and I don't want to leave the wallet just in the suitcase either. DH can put his in his pocket but mine would go in a bag.

What I bring is a very thin, small wallet, just big enough for about 10 plastic cards and some cash. It doesn't even fold, it just has 5 slots for cards that can fit about 2 cards each and a middle that can fit a limited number of bills. I got it at Wal-mart for $5 or so. It's so thin that I put it in my front pocket. It's my main wallet now, I like it so much! When I don't need stuff in my purse (cell phone, make-up) I just pull out my wallet and put it in my pocket!

In parks, I just carry my i.d., resort key card, 1 credit card, and a bit of cash (we charge everything to the room, but I like to have cash on hand for small purchases). I even put my P.S confirmations on a laminated card to keep in my wallet so I don't need a notebook or Passporter!

I just keep things in my pocket too. Credit card, ID, Room Key, and money. I leave my wallet in the safe in the room.

I have a different (man's wallet) for travel - it's thinner, smaller and doesn't hold as much.
I take two credit cards, any discount cards (AAA, Universal Fan Club card, etc...), PARK TICKETS, Cash, Driver's licence, and insurance cards. That's it I think. Only take what you need. And split your cash up between your pocket and the wallet. Remember to make a photo copy of your park tickets and keep that in a separate place like your luggage. Also carry the phone numbers for the credit card companies of the cards you are taking in case you loose your wallet and have to cancel the cards - keep these numbers separate from the wallet.

We did not bring our entire wallets into the parks. ALl we brought was our IDs (for buying alcohol)about $20-30 in cash and our room cards to charge everything else to. Everything else was locked in the safe. It was SOOOO convenient.

I never bring my entire wallet. My fannypack has these slots for cards and little pocket for money. That's what I put it in. I just carry 1 credit card, room keys, DL, and our APs.

Each day, DH takes only a certain amount of cash that we think we'll need and he put's it in his pocket. (He has those cargo pants with zippered pockets, so we know it won't fall out ;) )

I use the plastic insert from a wallet that is used to hold pictures. It fits my debit card, credit card (emergency only), room key, and drivers license. The plastic also protects everything on water rides.

I just carry a business card holder with my id , roomkey, cc, and some cash

I clean out my wallet before we leave on any trip. While away from home, I don't need my library card, my registration card for the car staying home, video store card, supermarket cards, photos, etc. All I bring is my credit cards, health ins., license, car regist., and good old cash. That way I'm not carrying around all the stuff I couldn't possibly need.

Don't forget your insurance cards in case of emergency :-)
As others said, I'd leave library, supermarket, etc at home!

I have a card holder that I bought at WoD years ago. It's like a business card holder, maybe slightly larger, made of heavier plastic witha zippered top. In there, I carry license, credit card, DDE card, passes and insurance cards. That's it! My regular wallet stays home.

I forgot to clean out my wallet before a trip to WDW last year and ended up leaving most of it in the room safe at ASMo. However, I remembered I had done this just before arriving at Tampa airport for my return flight! I called back to ASMo and told them what I had done, and could they RUN to the room and recover my belongings before mousekeeping had cleaned the room because the safe key was hidden in the baby crib! I figured once that crib was put away into a storage room it would be un-recoverable and the key lost for good, then I'd have to pay for a replacement key. Everything worked out great, got a call back from the front desk within an hour letting me know they had my stuff. My brother was going to WDW two weeks later so they just held my wallet at lost and found until he went and picked it up for me. I received everything back A-OK, even some cash and all credit cards. I learned my lesson though, clean out your wallet before travelling and don't take any unnecessary junk. Only id, cc, and insurance card is really needed.

I thought that I was the only one who carried my PS numbers. I make a calander
on Outlook and shrink down to a small size, I put in park hrs, and other important info :rotfl: :cool1: . I am not that organized at home just ask DW : :bounce:

I agree with others here, clean out your wallet at home and only take the things you are going to need. When we are on vacation we always designate one credit card to use solely. I do take another just in case of emergency, but other than drivers Lic., 2 credit cards, and insurance card, everything else is left at home. Why carry around things you don't need? :3dglasses

I've decided to leave both my wallet and purse at home. Both of them are expensive and after a trip to Disney I couldn't afford to replace them so I'm bringing a small purse that has slots for credit cards etc. I plan on bringing just my drivers license and debit card. My aunt just gave me an expensive laminating machine she didn't want anymore so I'm going to have fun tonight laminating ps numbers and schedules. Too bad I can't laminate my ds :rotfl:

I have a small wallet that I travel with. I carry my debit card, credit card, auto insurance card, AAA card and medical/dental plan cards. That is about it. I leave the rest at home. The wallet has a small zipper pocket for change and a place for dollar bills. It will fit in a pocket or fanny pack easily.

I use a small money clip/card holder combo thingy which holds my cash, debit card (I don't tempt myself by bringing the credit card), drivers license, tickets, health insurance card, and, if it just a day trip and I am driving, my car insurance and AAA cards. And I don't bring my normal purse with me, just a tiny little purse about 3 x 4" in which I carry the money clip/card holder, keys, disposable camera, cell phone, and inhaler (I have asthma). If our son is with us, we also carry a bag with things for him, and I put my purse in it, but when we go on rides or anything where we need to leave the stroller, all I have to carry is that little tiny purse.

I normally carry a big wallet. I have a small Disney wallet I bought on vacation last year that I now take on vacations. I keep some cash, my driver's license, and my insurance cards in there.
