Bring Back 7 on 7 ! Get Rid of What We love segment.

True, but it would be much faster to just email Pete directly than to create a profile and start a thread on these boards to give feedback.
Probably, but we all post show feedback here all the time. I don't have a problem with someone using this forum to offer thoughts on the show. It's also an opportunity to see if others feel the same way, which doesn't happen if you just send the team an email. Plus, several of the team members (like Jackie above) read the boards regularly and participate in the conversations. Kevin and Craig show up pretty regularly, too.

Really looking forward to the team's "Things We Hate" segments coming later this summer:

-Craig heckling every single performer in World Showcase
-Corey crying over a plate of salad
-Kevin handing out Pepto-Bismol to patrons as they enter Liberty Tree Tavern
-Pete affixing Stick-Ups to the walls of every Magic Kingdom restroom
-Kathy wearing a HazMat suit onboard the parking lot trams
-John wearing a #NeverBreadPudding t-shirt to dinner at Ohana
-Oliver staying home completely on the 4th of July

Obviously in the minority here, but I also am not a fan of the new resort segment. No reflection on the quality really, just personal preference. I'd probably prefer a "Things We Hate" segment, lol. I understand the team has to include more than just reviews, though. Keepin' it fresh.

I think the OP is right though: Pete is saying its a new take on the 7 in 7 but it's nothing like them, so in fairness to the OP, Pete is the one putting it out there that they're in the same realm.
They're not, which is fine, but it shouldn't be touted that way either.

I guess I took it more as this was a new take on what the 7 in 7s were, that being overviews of the resorts so I was expecting something different - though I get what you are saying in that if you were expecting just an update on the 7 in 7s - that being more critical reviews then, yes, these videos were probably unexpected and perhaps disappointing

Though I don't understand why that necessitates getting ride of the "we love" videos

Things change...........and that couldn't be more true than the past 6 months on the DIS Unplugged podcast. While I agree the new "Things we love..." episodes are not "7 in 7" type podcasts I do think they're fun.

Repetition leads to complacency but, in many ways it also gives comfort. We've gotten comfortable and Pete was looking to change things up, which from a content perspective he has to do or the entire podcast will get stale. Isn't that why we listen each week, for that spontaneity? For me it is.........I'm always waiting for Pete's next rant..........or John's next joke..........Craig is unique on every show :)

Hey I'm a huge fan of the 7 in 7 podcasts...........but you can only review the same thing so many times. My hope is that in a year or two they'll be back. The updates at WL could be the impetus :)

Omg lmao

I think the stick ups comment sent me over the edge. Lolololol

You've been loyal for years but only have 3 posts. Or you signed up under a new name because you are willing to complain about free content, but only if people don't know who you really are.
I created my account back in 2006, but I didn't start posting frequently here until 2010/2011ish. A lot of people lurk on these boards for a long time before posting. I don't think the fact that the OP just joined the board but is talking about following the podcast for a while warrants the accusation.

I learned a long time ago that you're never going to please everyone and you'll never get anywhere if you make that your focus. OP is entitled to their opinions. I can also see some validity in it all.

To me, 7 in 7 is more of a tool. If I've never stayed at a resort, I can look at a 7 in 7 and use it to help decide if a particular resort is for me. It's a review...so there's good and bad. The What I Love segments are feel good pieces that give bits and pieces about the resorts in question, but if anything, give you more background on the podcasters. Sort of a getting to know you by resort. While Kevin's portion on the Contemporary was the most moving for me, I also really enjoyed hearing Kathy speak about AKL. And while it's kind of funny, watching the one on the Poly just fosters my whole "something must be wrong with me" feeling since I'm not a Poly fan. LOL

I guess I'm just saying what everyone else has...they are different things and I like them and watch them for different reasons.

I'm not agreeing with the OP that they need to be banished from the DIS YouTube account, I'm just saying that they're not like the 7 in 7's at all except that they're talking about a different resort each day.

Plus, this isn't the podcast, it's only available on YouTube, so it's not really about keeping the podcast fresh either.

The resorts dont change that much to do 7in7 yearly. This is a good way for new content.

Next year something else and then back to 7in7 on my mind

They could do a mini-version for ones that did change - like the Poly, but agree not a full set needed

Love it...I'll add some I expect

-Craig taking a nap on 7 dwarfs
-Corey handing out deodorant in the line for BTMR. How can people afford to send their kids to Disney but not afford basic hygienic care?
-Pete, John, Kevin, and Teresa rinding the bumper cars. I know there are no bumper car rides in WDW, but they do have EVCs and plenty of 'obstacles' on Main street.
-Oliver's review of dinner at The Rose and Crown
-Jackie being denied any coffee until she rants about something at the Magic Kingdom (I give her two hours)

That would more than likely cause me to lose my mind! LOL! :coffee:

Although, there might be a thing or two that I could rant about when it comes to Magic Kingdom. I most definitely prefer Disneyland over MK - so many reasons why!!

Hi Jackie,

Nice to hear from you

You are one of my favorite Hosts on the show.
Always felt the other hosts were unnecessarily mean to you during the shows especially Craig
