Okay, I'm going to try to clear up some confusion here, before it turns into a wild fire...
Hi, everybody. I'm a
travel agent for an on-base ITT ticket and travel office, where I've worked for 5 years. I share this so you will know that what I am about to say is from a reputable source:
THE WALT DISNEY DISNEY WORLD MILITARY SALUTE PROGRAM HAS NOT BEEN RENEWED FOR 2016.
The current ticket promotion runs through Dec. 20, 2015. It offers 3 options: All are 4-Day tickets. The first two options (Option 1: 4-Day Park Hopper, and Option 2: 4-Day Base w/ WP Fun Options) are $177 each. The third option (Option 3: 4-Day Hopper w/ WP Fun) tickets are $207 each.
As stated correctly above, there is no way to add days to these tickets. For 5 days of admission, your best bet is to purchase an additional 1-Day ticket from your ITT or LTS office. For 6-8 days worth, you are better off using a second 4-Day military ticket, if you have enough remaining in your allotment for this year's promotion to do so.
The current allotment has been extended to 12 tickets per military service member.
The "Disney tips for Military families" website mentioned earlier is only ESTIMATING that next year's tickets will be $195 each for option 1 & 2. This is only their estimate, not hard and fast fact.
Current speculation from those of us who work in this field is that the announcement regarding 2016's military tickets will most likely happen sometime in mid to late October 2015. Again, this is only speculation.
I hope this helps. Semper Fi.
