Bridge to BLT only open to DVC members

It is important to clarify in the documents because if it's not shared then BLT dues will be paying 100% for its operation.

DebbieB this is an excellent point you make. If restricted access to BLT pool is going to be the case, i would think that this will impact (increase) MFs. We too are under the impression that costs are shared when DVC is attached to an existing resort - like for pool at VWL, that can also be used by WL resort guests. And also guest staying at VWL are permitted to use WL pool.

And if BLT pool is restricted just to guests staying at BLT will they be restricted from CR pool ?

Wondering also what is planned for pool usage at Kidani ? is access to Kidani's strictly going to be for DVC guests staying at AKV or will that be available for the use of AK Resort guests as well  ?

my guide says the pool will be enclosed with a fence - like SALB at the bc.

the viedo is not showing this.

forgot to ask - will all the BL views be able to see the EWP - or only those facing the direction of the marina?

Forgot to mention regarding the lounge: Our guide said that members will supposedly receive vouchers upon check-in that are valid for the stay in order to gain access to the lounge. No voucher, no access. Guess that's one way to limit entry.

as to the lounge - anyone remember the BWV one that only members were surpose to get access too.

well the executive saw it and demanded it be rent only.

anyone taking odds on how long members get to kept this one....

:rolleyes1

would say until the WDW executives get to see it - so nothing past the grand opening.

DVD is using restricted access to increase the feeling of exclusivity and thus, another reason to buy into a particular resort.

Any amenities used by the DVC will be paid for by the DVC Members. Doesn't matter if it's the buses at the other DVC resorts or the Monorail at BLT, you play, you pay.

We also pay for using the Contemporary Front Desk to check DVC Members in. Nothing is for free.

Who knows. But this lounge is much different than the BWV. Location, location, locations. There would be 2 hour waits before Wishes to gain access. I think there HAS to be some kind of restrictions, otherwise it'd be out of control.

Our guide is pretty high up on the Disney ladder and said he just wanted to find out if there was a way to just buy the tile to commemorate his father. He made some calls and the answer? Buy 160 points. LoL. Well, they're definitely enforcing some things already!

went when BWV was first opened and the lounge at BWV had a wonderful view of Illiuinations not to mention Epcot.

so since the BLT lounge will have an even better view of Wishes and MK - do you really think this time - that Disney will let us (members) kept it?

past history says no!

I see your point but I sure hope you're wrong!!!

our guide told us we would be able to book at 7 months at any resort at any time without any problems, yea we know about that now don't we.;)

Take it all with a grain of salt, only time will tell what will actually hold true.

Interesting. That was before we joined DVC, so I'm not familiar with it. What I'm wondering is was the promised lounge featured prominently in the initial advertising like the one at BLT is? If it was, I can't believe they got away with getting rid of it if it was already promised at buy-in!!

I'd say until the day after the last points are sold. :rolleyes1

Oh - my guide did tell me that we would have access to the CR amenities--pool, etc.

definitely!

my guide went on how wonderful it was.

though the first week of opening - we did get it - but shortly all the signs were taken down.

my guide did not even mention the lounge at the BLT@ Cr.... that to me says that she also remembers BWV.

somebody was sueing Disney over their use of something that members had pay for - but don't know what happen to his lawsuit.

we will have access to their stuff - they won't have access to ours - won't that just increase of popularity on the resort board....:happytv:

Wow, that really stinks!! I can't believe they did that, and I sincerely hope history doesn't repeat itself at BLT.

Didn't someone post that a guide said that the lounge is not part of the timeshare paperwork, so in that case Disney owns it. I'll have to pull out my BWV papers, but I suspect that there's nothing about The Attic being part of the timeshare either.

Edit: I glanced through the BWV paperwork, lots of legal mumbo jumbo, I didn't see anything about The Attic. Got me thinking though - it talks about the feature pool, the spa, the tennis courts. I sure hope that BWI is paying for part of that because it's not restricted to BWV guests.

Didn't someone also post that there will also be an outdoor observation deck that will hold over 200? Unless the weather is bad, I would go there. If you go in the lounge, you are really obligated to buy a drink plus it might be hard to see unless you are along the windows.

My guide gave us the skinny concerning the lounge. He said it will be open to members owning at BLT and you have to be staying there at that time to use it. .
What if you are a BCV owner and staying at BLT on points? :confused3

It is clear from the Comon Facilities Agreement for BLT already recorded that DVC "owners, guests, invitees and licensees" have access to the "Resort Swimming Pool" and will pay a share to maintain it. In addition, it appears that the Resort has the right to grant similar access to the "Condo Swimming Pool" to those staying at the Resort, but it unclear whether this was intentional or just a drafting error.

In the recorded Master Declaration, the Bridge is listed as one of the "Designated Facilities" which will be part of the "Shared Area Expenses" between the Resort and DVC. As result, at least initially, it looks like any one staying at either resort can use the bridge for access.

We always wondered what happened to the lounge that was promised at BWV. One CM tried to tell us it was never built. So it's called the Attic and can be rented, is that it?
