Bride-to-be's totally confusing PJ - Beach towel design =o)

I haven't had they pleasure of trying tonga toast yet, but it is on my list! I also don't know about dole whip either. Maybe someone can enlighten me.

It's going to seem like ages while you are waiting to hear about the construction. I hope that you keep yourself busy. Also, check out my PJ for my DD's dress, since I think that it is very princessy. It has the pick ups on the skirt.

Dole whip is what heaven would taste like! :rotfl:

I mean! It's a pineapple flavored soft-serve frozen dessert! The consistency of it is much lighter than regular soft-serve too. It's sooooo so delicious, especially if you like pineapple!

Everyone who has never had it, MUST have it!

So from another thread, I got the impression that you are paying for your guests' cruise? Is this correct? If so-WOW

What thread are you reading? Its just important to us to have our family and closest friends there and we understand that most of them would never be able to afford to go otherwise. So its a huge chunk of our budget and we are compromising on a lot else to make it happen. I am super excited!

We went to the kona cafe and I thought there was supposed to be some sort of fruit compote that went with it (maybe that was the bananas?), it was very sweet and tasted more like a dessert than breakfast. It was good just huge and so sweet that be both felt kind of sick after. I have never ever had dole whip but am very curious as well.

Where do you get it?

So here it is. It is very wrinkled as it has been stuffed in a garment bag since Dec. I feel really bad for whoever ends up steaming it before the wedding. Its not going to be a fun job. I look horrible - please don't look at my hair and the horrible look on my face!

To continue on with pictures since I have photobucket open, I thought I would post two pics from our epcot site visit. DF is not a big fan of France in general so he would never go for this. Nor did he seem to have interest in an epcot ceremony - but I think its a great idea if you do! -

WOW! I wish you could make them bigger- but from what i can see- it is a GORGEOUS dress! one of the prettiest I have ever seen! Really stunning!! :yay:

So we walked into DTD, look up and saw this - The new Characters in Flight!
jbpicturesdisneysitevisitsandVT015.jpg

So we did it. For $15pp we thought it was very reasonable. It takes you up 400 ft so that you are the second highest thing in central florida, #1 being the automotive building (or something like that) that you can see way off in the distance. The basket itself is shaped like a donut and so once you are up in the air you can walk around in circles. I took lots of pictures looking down but they didn't really look like much other than little building and cement roofs - so I will spare you guys.

As we were getting off we were told that the best time is to come at 9 and you can see both the epcot and MK fireworks. It would be soooo cool and its the same price. The only negative is that they won't sell you a ticket until they are ready to take you up and it closes a lot due to weather so beware you are not guaranteed the ride if you venture all the way down to DTD.

Other interesting things we learned are that its not run by disney. Its owned and operated by a French company I think called Aerophile. All of the pilots are FAA certified, just incase the teather breaks and they have to fly the balloon manually (supposedly its never happend). Our pilot said that if we did break away and he had to fly us manually we would end up landing in Daytona. All I kept thinking was that I didn't want it to break - not because of the adventure but because I didn't want to waste the rest of the day at disney getting back from Daytona :rotfl:. Our particular pilot flew jets on the weekends. Also as many would think its not a hot air balloon. Its acutally helium and depending on the weather conditions they add air to it.

I finally just learned how to resize pictures!! YAY me!
Here is smaller less scary picture of us on the balloon -

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your dress! You look absolutley gorgeous! The balloon ride looks neat, but there is no way I will be going on it! I am terrified of heights! The pictures of France are pretty as well!

So glad you finally posted photos of the two of you! You should do it more often.

Many things on Disney property are not run by Disney. You'd be surprised how many restaurants in the parks are third party too.

Omg Cassie!!! That dress looks perfect on you!! How beautiful. I think it's even prettier on you than the model! Hehe. You look so tiny, and princessy princess: in it! I love it!

And wow! Seeing as I'm a WDW virgin, those pictures look amazing! I can see why you'd be interested in wanting to have it there in France! It's so pretty! :goodvibes

OH! And, last but not least, from what I read you should be able to get yourself a Dole whip from the Poly. Out here at Disneyland, there's a stand sponsored by Dole next to the Enchanted Tiki Room that sells them. You simply have to try it though! I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Cassie - you have to wear the dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous!!!

Thanks everyone! I really love the dress too. I don't think I look anywhere near as good as the model but I don't think anyone ever does. The crenalin under it I think needs to be steamed or tossed its soooo out of shape. I think I might wear my hoop skirt (worn under my bell dress in the pic on the left) but its in my closet in florida so I can't try it on yet. The hoop skirt would def make the skirt bigger but it would also keep it from dragging in the front.

So DF and I are currently in the middle of the CASTLE or BEACH discussion (and yes I am on the boards in the middle of it all :rotfl:). Our biggest hang up at the moment is about the having to legally get married in the terminal before boarding the ship. I posted a question about it on the main page but we are both kind of concerned about that at the moment. I also expressed my concern about a lack of a makeup person on board and DF said he didn't care - then I told him who would end up doing my makeup and he said we would def have to bring someone with us. But thats ANOTHER added cost. So I am leaning towards the castle for convenience but I really really love the epcot events that we have for plan B (and no we can't afford to do both :sad2:)

Today we went running for the first time but thats a story for another post.

Your dress is beautiful! I meant to ask you, I love your Mickey save the dates. If you do the castle wedding, can you change what Mickey says to theme it towards the castle wedding? They are adorable and it would suck if you couldn't use them.

Regarding your beach/castle dilemma, I think that it sounds like the castle is a better fit for you. Maybe do a WDW wedding then do a cruise right after as a pre-honeymoon celebration with family?

Imagine your dress in front of the castle! I think the dress looks heavy for a beach wedding. PERFECT for a castle wedding. Then you'll have your make up artist, flowers galore, whatever special touches you want for guests, etc. A cruise is VERY limiting because of the nature of the situation.

Oh they were already mailed back in I think Feb - maybe it was March? I started my PJ just after we mailed them. Then about a week later I got the email that all of our requests were denied :sad2: (we put the requests in in October...).

We are def doing the cruise no matter what - if we do the castle wedding the cruise will just turn into a reception and we will have flowers on the dinner tables and place cards and stuff each night.

I was thinking it would be fun to send out a goofy doll or something talking about the change - but because of the cost of the first one I don't think DF would be too happy about a second one. We'll see.

So I am so excited to make the decision - I can't wait to see which option we are going with. I hope to know by June 2, because we are planning to go dress shopping on the 3rd. I just want to be able to make an inspiration board and start all of the fun planning.

We will have to wait and see. I keep getting really excited about the castle - then I look at pictures of the beach and the LSS and DP and get so excited about plan B. I was just telling DF that I am really torn and like them both sooo much. If we go the beach route then I def can't wear the dress for the ceremony. I think I will wear some sort of white beaded coverup and have a white bathing suit underneath. Then I can wear the big dress at the LSS and for the DP.

You may know the answer to this - I have been trying to reach Cindy at the florist who only works on Sundays for weeks now. I called once and was told she was the person to speak with. Do you know if we can order chair covers through the florist for the beach ceremony? I really want hot pink chair covers just to add some color to the beach.

So DF has started running quite a bit lately trying to get into shape. Yesterday he asked if I wanted to join him. I suddenly had all of these visions of being super fit and tone for the wedding especially if its on the beach! So I agreed to go - got my old sneakers, some shorts from a high school rafting trip and my favorite minnie mouse t-shirt. We started off and I was so excited and it felt so great - until we got a mile down the road :headache: I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE! How can being in shape on your wedding day be worth all of the agony that running causes?? I thought my throat was going to catch fire. My legs felt as though they were going to give out and more than anything I just wanted to lie down in the muddy grass. As soon as I did DF screamed I had to keep moving or I would be in even more pain :scared1:. How do people get up and run on a regular basis?! I don't understand how anyone can actually enjoy the sport - I feel like it would be so much easier to cut everything yummy out of my diet and live on my rabbit's food. So today I am in sooo much pain - my legs are so stiff I can barely walk. Can I really be this out of shape? For all of those runners out there - how do you make yourself do it???
