Bride-to-be's totally confusing PJ - Beach towel design =o)

Tails with your dress would be awesome! Your dress is formal enough for it. I can't wait to see pics of the two of you together all dressed up.

I don't think that the green chairs look bad, but it is strange that they picked that color. White screams wedding. The place where we originally got married at had black chairs, and that still bugs me to this day. But they had black b/c it didn't show dirt, etc.

So if you get chair covers, will you buy them or rent them from the disney florist? I think it might be cheaper to buy them yourself, but it depends on the price and the quality.

I hope that you are keeping yourself busy for the next several weeks. I hat waiting!!!! I am anxiously awaiting the castle construction news too, since it will be the determining factor on my photo shoot date.

Aw, I'm so disappointed with your cover up! You have a much better figure than that cover up will reveal! Please reconsider if you go the CC route!

I was up forever last night thinking about it and looking at so many other options. I really like all of the white embroidery on this and on the model in the store it didn't look as much like a sack of potatoes (as my sister would always say). I have to try it on and go from there.

I'm with Mikkel! I get that you want it to be informal, but you can still flatter your figure better- you're the bride! What about a light chiffon sundress like this
I don't know :guilty: I never before pictured myself wearing a formal wedding dress on the beach even if it was part of some sort of destinations collection. I have seen tons of coverups like the second one but I am scared that it will be too short and then I would also have to wear a strapless bathingsuit under it.

Once we know for sure we are doing the beach I will do tons of research and figure it out. Before I thought I had the dress for the beach figured out and now I really don't know - I am so unsure I am almost leaning towards the castle completely. At the same time we are still waiting on the construction and all of the details!

I hope that you are keeping yourself busy for the next several weeks. I hat waiting!!!! I am anxiously awaiting the castle construction news too, since it will be the determining factor on my photo shoot date.
I have to say it could be worse - if we didn't have an alternate plan at all for the castle I would be going crazy - but I really like the epcot plan too and I really like the roots and the idea of having pictures from the whole cruise. Whereas I am not sure we could afford to bring them with us if we do the castle :sad2:. If you hear ANYTHING please let me know!

I am so excited for the first time I just randomly stumbled upon a picture of a couple getting married in our spot! So this is what it would look like -

I am so jealous. That looks like a great spot. I hope it all works out for you!!!

So this morning I seem to be on a castle high - which isn't good at all. I think maybe its now because I am so uncertain of my beach wedding dress. Well so I just spent a little while looking at BM dresses and I think I found some that I really love that are truely affordable!

They come in D. Fuchsia which I guess is dark? Anyhoo I started thinking about how to get fancy dresses affordably and so I started thinking about currency differences and remembered that when we were in new zealand everything was basically half price. So I did a google search on the NZ version and found these dresses immediately. I think they are sooo perfect!

I know everyone is going to say its a bad idea to buy dresses from the other side of the world, but if we had them custom made here they wouldn't be returnable either. The price is so low I don't think anyone will be able to resist!!!!

Anyhoo now I have to go look at pictures of Epcot and get myself super excited about Plan B again.

Very pretty! I hope everything works out the way you want it to.

Quick question: If you do the wedding at that spot, will it still start at 8:00? It looks like you would be visable to people going to CP or CRT for breakfast and I thought they didn't allow that (we were kicked out of AK during our BPS because of people entering the park for the Tusker House breakfast)? I was just wondering if you know how they handle that? I guess the Swan Boat landing is visable as well... :)

The BM dresses are very nice. I would see if you can get a wrap with them as it may be COLD that early in the AM in January! I don't think buying the dresses from another country is necessarily a bad idea, especially if the price is cheap enough that you can live with it if they are not what you expect. Are you buying them for the BMs? If not, are they reasonable enough that you could but them if they are not what you expect and you are unhappy with them? I would order them all at once in case there are dye lot issues. If you can, I would measure your girls and call them with the measurements; maybe even order them a little big. It is easy to tailor smaller; making something bigger: not so much.

Can't wait to see more!

I love me a good ball gown! If you don't mind me asking, how much of a savings to get by ordering them from NZ? How do you order stuff like that? I never thought about doing such a thing. I usually have things like that made for me.

Ya the cold is a def a concern! you are right we should order them a size bigger. Here I am going on and on about it as though we are def ordering them haha. I did email the pic to my BMs - I can't wait to hear if they like it.

People in the park was a huge concern of mine. I asked our coordinator about it multiple times. During our site visit he showed us that everyone going to breakfast would be taken a super long way around and everything would be roped off so that no one would be able to see us. He also assured me that main street would be cleared when I was in the carriage. I also want to have a bunch of characters come out for photos at the ceremony spot and feared they would say no because other guests might see them - but our coordinator said it wouldn't be a problem at all. So thats one thing that I am def relieved about.

I am sure that after the ceremony and pictures end that main street will be filled with people as the park opens. But I dont' think we will really care the least bit. At that point it will all be about getting to breakfast and off to the cruise!

Ok I am over excited - this isn't good.

I love the BM dresses, they look almost identical to an Allure Exclusives bridal gown, I almost bought. I'm just think that a fancy dress like that would take away from you, as the bride. Just a thought, but the dresses are gorgeous.

It looks like you are coming along in the planning. The castle would be awesome. I really love your "maybe" plans right now, so many options. It sounds like you're leaning towards the castle though.

I'm concerned those dresses will overshadow you, the bride, because they look like bridal gowns.

They are about half of the price that I have seen similar ones online listed for. Everything in NZ is typically half the price because of the exchange rate. If we were to get them I would just order them online and pay for shipping.

I just held a picture of those dresses up against my dress and thought the same thing :sad2: They don't really go well do they. Grrrr.

How are they going to do that?? I have been to CRT and CP before they open the park and people walk right down main street and go to the restaurant..there is no way around it..they don't take you in the back..I would make sure you are understanding the times correctly.

I am also unclear about the exchange rate thing..if you GO to NZ, then you would pay the cheaper rate, but if you pay for it over the Internet, don't they up the rate? I didn't think anything was as weak as the dollar now.

Our coordinator said it wasn't a problem at all. I would assume they would hold people from walking down main street while the guests and the carriage were taken to the ceremony spot and then everyone would be free to walk over the crystal palace and probably around through liberty square to get to CRT.

And no they don't up the rate. I just checked the NZ dollar is equal to 60 cents US. So its not quite 50 but its pretty close.

Now I am totally lost on it, because I just bought my DH an out of print book from England and I paid a huge amount for shipping..I think shipping was more than the book and I had to pay the exchange too..

well the pound is worth a ton more than the dollar. I don't get what you mean by pay the exchange... I order stuff all the time from other countries and I always pay whatever the current exchange rate is. The UK is not terribly favorable, but the south pacific is. :goodvibes

I have ordered a lot of stuff before and the shipping was never shocking. If it goes air its a lot more than having it come by boat.

I love the dresses, but agree, you don't want them to overshadow your dress, and I think they might. I am in LOVE with your castle wedding plan- I'm glad to see you excited about it! That picture is gorgeous!!! So incredible!! I don't think anything in epcot, or on a beach could ever top a cinderella's castle wedding! But that's just me ofcourse, you have to follow your heart :goodvibes

As much as I want to follow my heart - I think we have to follow contruction plans and I have to think about what DF wants too because I think he is really hooked on Scuba Mickey and the more I think about Scuba Mickey the more I want him too!

Ahhh I am torn!

I don't see them holding people up unless you are going down before at 7:45..I think the first ADR is maybe 8am..people would be up in arms if you made them wait to get to the CRT! I have seen them..don't get between them and the food!:rotfl:

They can't go through LS because that is where the ropes are..they don't let you cross the bridges in the morning..too many place to cover..I think you are going to have to be prepared for the masses to see you..I don't see the big deal..it isn't like they are going to walk up and start talking to you . They will be across the park and will be too busy with their own life to try and interrupt your wedding..which I am sure the CM's wouldn't allow anyway.

Wha?? Where did that come from?

Just how many weddings are you planning? I said it before Cassie (or Cassin, not sure which it is) you need to find out what you are doing..if you have the CC wedding and wear a coverup, your girls won't wear those dresses..and what is scuba mickey? Are you going to dive?
