The memorial for Brian was attended by many people. I know some of his personal friends and knew they would be there but it was also attended by some fort personnel as well as his kids and wife. It was great to meet his family and I think it helped them knowing Brian wasn't just a guy that drove the white truck around the loops. I can't actually claim Brian even knew my name but it was always fun to talk to him. I said a few words in the beginning and Hilda from the 700 loop helped out as well thank the Lord as I was very nervous.
Lornaduck bought a Mickey balloon from W/D and as it was released it would never fly straight up. For some reason the face kept looking straight down as if it was saying ok I watched you guy's one last time, now get off my beach.
Brian's family was very lucky to have him as their father and mentor. Job well done Brian. Everyone tossed a flower in a circle and the people who came talked to Brian's family and told them what he meant to them. I'm sure it was nice for them to know his friends cared for him and that he was important to us too. For those who weren't able to attend, Brian's family was thankful for your support and sympathy.
