Brewed Tea at Disney World?

Anyone know where you can get brewed tea at Disney World? Especially sweet tea or chai latte, which in my experience are the ones most likely to be powdered even when the brewed stuff is available. :sad1:

On paper, the Royal Anandapur Tea Company at the Animal Kingdom looks terrific -- but, on paper, so do a lot of local places. :p But when I actually kick out the cash, although the other ingredients are fine, the tea itself is powdered. :sad2:

great question! Glad you asked...we like mate teas in the morning or chamoille tea in the early evenings. I wonder if each park has something like this. Not sure if it's asking for too much ;)

There is a tea stand outside the China pavilion in Epcot and you can get the Moroccan Mint Green tea at Tangerine Cafe in Morocco.

I think that Via Napoli brews their own tea, but it doesn't come sweet. I'm with you, though, I only want brewed tea!! The rest is disgusting!

Anandapur Tea Company is fantastic! It is loose tea, in bags, and every flavor I have tried is pure :cloud9:! I honestly haven't watched closely when they have made me iced chai - I want to say it comes out of a chai box they mix and I don't know how those are made before they are packaged. It tastes great though.

Edited to add that I hate sweet tea, so I can't comment on it. I take my tea black/green. ::yes::

Thank you to everyone who answered! :goodvibes

I can't think of any tea-oriented place actually in the Magic Kingdom, but the Garden View Lounge at the Grand Floridian has "afternoon tea in the grand British tradition," and you can get a variety of brewed teas there (some of which you can also get in the shop there either in bags or loose). Epcot has the "Joy of Tea" stand in China that offers a couple of different varieties of hot, as well as iced tea and iced tea slushies, and there's a Twining's tea shop in the UK, but so far as I know you can't get brewed tea there. Animal Kingdom has the Royal Anandapur Tea Company in Asia, very close to the bridge to Discovery Island. Don't know of anything around Hollywood Studios, though. And obviously I'm not sure what in the parks is brewed! ;)

:thumbsup2

Maybe that'll be the first tea my eldest daughter will actually like -- she likes mint tea and some other herbal teas, but doesn't like any true teas. :sad2: But I don't think she's tried a mint tea with green tea yet.

I like all the tea flavors I've tried that were actually tea -- although some I drink straight and some I really would rather not have without sugar and/or cream. ;) Herbal teas are more hit and miss for me.

If you like black and green, you should try Dynasty's Chinese Restaurant tea -- it tastes kind of like a blend of both! Haven't had been able to find that since we moved away from Denver, but recently discovered Amazon carries it. :cool2: That was the tea that got me really into trying the different kinds -- hope I still like it once I get around to ordering it! :upsidedow

During F&W, we got the Moroccan Mint Tea in an iced version. I don't know if you can get it that way regularly, but it was tasty served cold!

If tea is truly your thing, and would like to make an experience out of it, you could always do Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian too! :goodvibes
