Breaking NEWS PHOTO SESSIONS!!!!!! :-)

May I ask when did you pre-purchase your photopass CD and book your private photoshoot to receive the $25 price by email? I read in other thread that they no longer email the $25 price fo private photoshoot anymo re. Isn't it true? Also can't order more than 60 days in advance becausethe pre-purchase photoCD code will be expired. Confused:

Ok here's my long story in short. I pre-purchased my CD in November for my April trip. I called Photopass after reading someone posts here stating they expired after 60 days. The people at photopass told me it was correct and it did indeed expire in 60 days. I had mentioned that I hadn't seen the expiry on their site etc, she just told me to call back 2 weeks prior to my trip and have my current purchase re-activated. She just said to keep the paperwork and call them back. So I did and took my paper work from November with me. The photographer didn't even fuss when I showed it to him, he just said ok, it's 25.00 are you ready?

I love your pictures hannahon! We're going with the same color scheme, white tops and jean bottoms!

I would like to know if anyone has done the photo shoot during the holiday season when the resorts are decorated for Christmas. If so can did you get any good shots with the decorations in them. I would love to do this on my trip and hopefully get to use a shot or two for my holiday card this year.
Thanks

I just got off the phone with 2 different photopass cast members. I made an appointment to have our pictures done at the Poly at 9am on the 20th. He quoted me a price of $49.95 for the session and a print package, or $99.95 for the session, print package, and the CD which you cannot add other photopass pictures to from the parks.

The packages were described as Package A (7) 5x7's, Package B (2) 8x10's (4) 4x6's or Package C which was all 4x6's I think.

Just to be sure, when I hung up, I called back and talked to another cast member to verify the prices and she gave me the same exact information. Hope this helps.

thank you for the information :)

I can't tell if this has been mentioned or not, but do any of the new "packages" include the ability to put the photos on the photopass card like they use to? That's all I really want since i'll probably just pre-order the CD anyway :confused3

Disney sure took a relatively simple thing and has really complicated it :scared1:

Can someone please post the number they called to reactivate their pre-purchase code? I purchased the CD in February for our trip next week and guess I need to get it fixed?? Didn't know they expired until I was reading this since we just scheduled our picture session for our vaction!

Thanks!

Nevermind, I got the number from the website. Called and it's all good. He actually told me my CD code was now good until August 6.

When I called, the lady I talked to said it was $199 for the session, photo package, and cd with prints from session and from the parks. It really doesn't save any money if you wanted all your photo shoot pictures on a cd since the cheapest package for that is $99. You might call and ask just to make sure.

Do they do sessions at the CR??? Does anyone have any pics from there?? I really want to get this done in September when DH and I go. It would just make our anniversary trip so much more memorable.

We did the photo shoot at the Poly on Wed, May 6th at 4:00. I was in a photopass share, took the confirmation email. We paid $70 + tax - $74.55. We got the shoot, CD with all the images, a print package (which I wasn't expecting!) and then also all the photos on a photopass card to upload, can add borders, etc. I don't remember all the packages specifically - but you can choose from different combinations of 8x10's, 5x7's and 4x6's. The larger the pics, the less you get. We got a package of 7 5x7's.

I'll post some of my pics later. Overall we were satisfied, our photographer was Justin. Were they exceptional professional photos - no, but we're still happy with them, and for the cost.... One disappointment, they will not ask anyone to move for a shot. Some guy had dragged a lounge chair to the top of the "point" at the Poly, where you have the castle in the background, and was completely blocking the area. So, we could not get a family shot there. I think it would've been nice there, but oh well. We got a lot of other nice shots. Just the 4 of us, but he took all combinations and asked if I wanted anything specifically. I'll post them later...

So are you able to add the borders, etc to the park pics and the photo session pics by doing it this way?? I have heard that you can't edit the photo session CD, but if you did this package and could edit, then that would make a difference in what I decide to do. Does anyone know for sure?? Did that even make sense...

You can't add anything on the CD itself, but they put all the same photos (all they took) on a separate photopass card too. So I was able to upload them just like any other PhotoPass card and they're the same on there.

We did a photo shoot at the Polynesian on September 21, 2008. I'm going to finally try to post some of our photos. It was worth the $25, but I don't think I would pay the higher rate now. If this one works I will post more in another post.

What time of day did you schedule your photo shoot?

hmm...I did a session back in September of '08 and our photographer asked someone to move from a hammock so we could get a picture there. The woman was really nice and didn't mind at all as a matter of fact.

Speaking of my pics, I don't believe I ever posted them in this thread. I think I have them on photobucket so I'll have to share a few....
