Breaking NEWS PHOTO SESSIONS!!!!!! :-)

Has anyone pre-ordered the CD in the last day or so to see if the $25 offer is still appearing on the email confirmation?

Thanks!
Melissa

Edited to add I went ahead and pre-purchased CD today and the $25 offer is still at the bottom of the email!!

Hi Melissa,

Does the $25 offer have a exp. date on it? Just wondering I don't go until the end of april.

The email does not have an expiration date for either the code for the CD purchase or the $25 offer. However, having read through the boards, it is my understanding that the code will expire after 60 days. if that happens, I am willing to go through the hassle of getting the code reinstated when it's finally time for our trip. I had the $100 from tax return for the photopass cd and wanted to order it now.

Word of warning...if you pre-order the CD AND the photobook together, you will NOT get the $25 session offer. I guess it remains to be seen if they will still honor this $25 portrait session as we get later in the year. I think they will honor it...at least I'm hoping they will!

Good luck!
Melissa

I just set up a photoshoot for the Wilderness Lodge with my $25 offer and there was no problem. All that the photographer said was make sure you bring the email or they will have to charge us the full amount. And I first called the Grand Floridian, since it was the only one mentioned on the email and she said the same thing and told me that it would be honored at all 6 locations, so that is why we opted for the Wilderness Lodge.

Just wanted to share. And the main photopass number for the professional pictures is 407-934-4004 and you press a number based on what resort you want the session.

Starting February 24, the $25 price will no longer be offered with the $99prepurchaed CD. The new cost for a resort portrait session, and CD, will be $70 when you prepurchase the park photo CD for $99.

Well now that's a bummer. I think it's too early for me to pre-order. We don't leave until the end of April.

Has anyone ordered one today to see if it really went in effect? I knew I should have ordered mine the other day.

Even with the price increasing $45, I'd do the photo session again in a heartbeat! I can't tell you how much I love passing by the different photos from our photoshoot that I have in various places of our home and being reminded of our wonderful time in WDW and at the GF!! Always bring a smile to my heart and a wistful sigh:goodvibes

I just saw this thread today--where have I been?? :scared1:

I have been wanting to do the resort photo shoot at AKV on our October '09 trip. It's DS's (he'll be 14 months) first trip and our 10th anniversary. Should I try to order now? Is that a problem. . .will it keep for 7 months (can you tell I'm one of those "planner" people?)? I'm just afraid the price will go up AGAIN!

Thanks for any info!!

Magical JenK... Great photos! They made me smile... I love the one of all of you walking away...
Awesome pictures!!!:thumbsup2

Unfortunately they will not allow you to book until 30days prior! So I was really bummed about that because I love to be prepared! So no you cannot book now for October! I wish we're going in August!

Whew, I guess we got in just under the wire! Preordered a couple weeks ago and booked our photo session for today (Feb 24). When we arrived at the Beach Club Resort, we turned in the email with the $25 price and had no problems. Our photographer Alex was super nice and he gave us a CD with our 42 photos as well as the Photopass card. Such a lovely way to remember our trip!

We are leaving Sunday, I just purchased my CD 5 minutes ago and the $25.00 offer is not there. So sad that I missed it. :sad1:

You took your pics at the Beach club?????????? I can't wait to see them! Please post when you get them! :thumbsup2

I'm really bummed out now, I have been lurking on this thread for months now, and seeing everybody's pictures and hoping I could do that too. But I don't know if the quality of the pictures is worth $75

The problem with the sessions is that you never know what photographer you will get and IMO that is the deciding factor in how well your pictures turn out. We had one amazing photographer at GF and if I had to, I would have paid $75 for the session. At the Poly, our photographer was awful. I was irritated I even had to pay $25, so it really is a gamble.

You summed up my hesitation perfectly! I'd be willing to take a gamble for $25 but $75 is making me think twice. I'm trying to decide if I should take the money I'd pay for the session and the PhotoPass park CD and put it toward hiring a photographer here at home. Although there is something special about the resort as the backdrop. Good thing I have a while to decide because I still don't know what to do :confused3 .

I'm thinking about skipping this now that it's $75. Just go with the PhotoPass CD (which we haven't done before) and try to get some nice family photos in the parks. I'd love to do the Poly shoot, but just don't know if I want to spend that much and then still pay to get the actual photos printed in larger sizes, etc.

I totally agree that I'm not sure it's worth $75--I wasn't even sure it was worth $25 :lmao: --we got them done at GF @ they were ok- not great and certainly would have had better ones if I used my tripod--but whe we went it had just started & it was free--so not big deal...but like the other posters said -you never know what you are going to get. I hope if I choose to do this again that they don't suck!! The only reason I would do them is so I can be IN them:laughing:
