The point requirements COULD mean that it's cheaper to reserve a studio plus 1BR than to reserve a 2 BR. I wonder if that's how it will end up?
I really think that is the 1000 lb. gorilla in the room. If they think they can command that high of a price, even it if means making it seperate, I think it is a real possibility. On the other hand, I'm afraid someone might get greedy and create a "Monorail" class DVC that has higher buy-in costs and is "separate" from regular DVC.

The current Declaration of Condominium is very similar to that filed for AKV with no suggestion that it be a separate class of DVC. While DVD could amend it before sales start, if they wanted to do that, why bother recording this one?
Also, the documents were dated in early July, but not recorded until yeterday. Maybe the negative buzz on the internet about a possible upper class DVCII made DVD more comfortable about not making big organizational changes for BLT. -- Suzanne
. What that means: most rooms at BLT will most likely be 2BRs (and most of those lock-offs) and that point cost difference per night for a 2BR can make a huge difference in number of total points they can sell per unit in comnparison to the other resorts. In other words, it appears most of any "price" increase has already been built into the point structure for BLT.
Okay, I'm confused. We have planned on buying about 100 points and staying in a 1BR every third year. Are you saying that there will not be that many 1BRs because most of BLT will be 2BR???![]()
Lock-off means that they can be rented as a 1BR and Studio or combined as a 2BR. They said most 2BR's will be lock-off's.
I noticed on page 29 of the Declaration of Condominium that it states that while it is the intention that every phase be declared as part of the Vacation Ownership Plan they reserve the right to declare units that are not part of it. It then has a section regarding commercial units. Has this language been typical in the other resort declarations or is it unique to BLT?
Well, I'd say that just about makes it's official to me. Thanks for the links. Now all they have to do is finally make the announcement...I'm betting they convert the top 2 floors of the Main Tower to DVC, just like they did with AK...

and they could start selling sooner too based on the minimum % of completion needed in FL for TS sales![]()
As far as price per point goes I am going to think it is going to be $115 per point. Thats just my thinking.
it's been reported here several times by the wise onesI am not sure that is a florida law, or there is a way around it. Marriott is pre selling 3 properties with no units complete. Marco Island, Grand Lakes and Oceana Palms.
